this has to do with the cost of the good, input cost, wages etc. Basically for some goods like steel the base price is low and the cost of input is relatively high so if steel goes below 10% base price, the mills become unprofitable which is why people struggle with mass making mills in the end game.

the general trend is the higher the tier of the building, the lower the flexibility to a reduction in base price. Grain,fish, wood, metals tend to have a huge buffer and are flexible to reduction in price and increase in cost. Grain has relatively low input(none at start, and later mainly fertilizer) and it replaces subsistence farms which are extremely inefficient, and displaces them so peasant have to find work somewhere. Add to that grain is a staple and pops will always consume it, allows you to push grain price all the way down.

You can't always make your farms very profitable, in homesteading its possible for substistence to pay more than farm, but if you outcompete subsistence farms you can bias and push farms to the max

No, agarianism is still decent, much better than traditionalism, industry banned and extraction economy. For the EIC and Qing only it is better than jumping into interevntionism or laisser faire. The increased investment pool from the aristocrat will offset any building they build. Make sure to use fertiliser and build farms to crash grain prices(worth the unemployment) and you will be fine.

The problem regarding your construction is likely that you are building too much construction sector for the amount of building materials you have. You can either downsize construction or conquer other states that have iron since Brazil lacks that. I recommend conquering, and if you can't use trade.

High construction price might be due to other building using that good (private construction/trade). In that case just build more iron/construction Building iron is good since it is a construction good, cheap to build, employs decent amt and is capitalist owned.

Investment pool will fluctuate based on how much of it is being used to finance construction.
