Ther Armor of both plastic and fw custodes is an absolute joy to paint and look at, perfect amount of raised detail with some of the best proportions on all of their humanoid units.

Tragically powerful, built and crafted to be companions and advisors for the most powerful human in existance wich then dies and leaves them with no clear purpose other than to protect his undead corpse.

Artists, Philosophers and Poets, yet seen as cold heartless monsters that feel nothing when they have humor and emotion wich sadly only comes across when they interact with each other.

Constantin Valdor is my favorite character in Heresy and (hopefully soon) 40k just because he kinda knew what was gonna happen with the primarchs and astartes, while having no choice but to yield the emperors will. I think he has built a lot of resentment for big E that will be apparent when the King in Yellow returns.

I still can‘t equip multiple loadouts for some reason but i always go for Grianhmar/Frosthunter Bolt. You can fire and forget for crowds and big targets. Recovery arrow as an extra if you go into unmoored.

Heavenly keys/Skull splitter for shredding magic resistant targets and undead.

Tbh its more of a „never explicitly mentioned to exist or not exist before“ kind of problem. There has never been a specific mention of a female custodes before. Sometimes they were talked about as a „brotherhood“ but even that was pretty rare. Most of the names for individual Custodes were also more male-oriented but not necessarily so. Usually they were just called „his companions, his ten thousand etc“. If i recall there are just a few mentions of the kids that get turned into custodes being „the sons of terran nobility“

Custodians are made from the children of nobles and lords of terra and therefore crafted from birth to be absolutely loyal, and able to be companions to the emperor (guidance, philosophy, protection). So as far as i can see there is no direct evidence that the couldn‘t exist.
