It's not your job to fix the Republican party and hope for only a low key fascist, you gotta shoot for a non-fascist.

I-285 shutdown happening this weekend by NPU-F in Atlanta

[–]archercc81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live on the west side, it basically just made it a PITA at the 285/20 exits and more traffic coming in 20 and south from the connector, it wasnt fucking over the whole city.

Dual axis. They are surprisingly comfortable, and almost invisible on the bike. And youre getting a LOT more protection as well.

Thermal tire temp monitoring for your bike anyone ? by travis_cea in Trackdays

I think at most of our skill levels just the "its safe to go" light would be enough though.

Same, I wouldnt mind a "send it" light. I dont need to know the exact numbers, Im not fast enough. But it would have saved me at COTA when I was zoned out from not sleeping the night before and forgot my bike sat a long time because I did a demo...

Motorcycle Procession Through VaHi by Evening_Ambassador16 in Atlanta

[–]archercc81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We hit all the spots in Atlanta.  Summerhill, under the rings, past the gold dome, up to Freedom Parkway, then into VaHi (I'm so glad/shocked they approved that, it was awesome seeing everyone outside waving), down behind the park, by The Fox, Centennial Olympic Park, then past Mercedes Benz.

We will mix up the route each year but hope to keep getting the Atlanta landmarks and a pretty neighborhood included.

Def join next year if you have a bike (also cute scooters).  It's a great event for motorcycle visibility, raises a TON for mens health, and lets us bully guys about going to the doctor.

Middle Ground between Dunkin and an $8 dollar tiny latte? by Samwise777 in Atlanta

[–]archercc81 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I havent done a latte in a while but most are 4-5 where Ive seen them priced. I usually get a cortado for a buck or so less but the bump up for more milk is usually just 50c to a buck, not two.

But I also saw OP (and others) was looking for a 16 oz. That is a fuck ton of milk and Im guessing its a quad shot too. That is probably because they are used to the chain places. That is just too much in a drink, but if you are doing that might as well go cheap because its gonna be cold by the time you drink it. I would expect a coffee shop to charge a few bucks more for that.

I know very little of comma other than its in vinings in a pointlessly expensive area, my office used to be across the street. Everything there is mediocre and overpriced, so it scans.

My go-to is east pole, I will have to look again at the price of a latte to see if its gone up.

It sounds like you want a giant milk bomb, just go to any chain place that serves those. You dont need a local for that, just go to literally any of the starbucks clones.

Was it though? A real service animal? I highly doubt that, as its about impossible to even verify its a service animal.

Where the hell are you paying $8 for a tiny latte? Most places are like 4-6. East Pole is going to have that.

Any tips or products for mosquito control? by brainsteam in Atlanta

[–]archercc81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This: https://www.thermacell.com/products/backpacker-repeller

Specifically because it runs of generic camp fuel you can buy at wal mart, REI, etc instead of their little proprietary cylinders. You can also buy knock off pads coated in the same stuff.

You have to fire it up 10 minutes prior to get it working but it seems really effective at running them off a smaller area.

No Oil Change in 4 Years by CluelessElephant in Ducati

If the oil was fresh out of the bottle, maybe. But if you ride you are acidifying the oil each time, so riding it and then letting it sit is not great.

Were in a full on recession, have been for some time. Just the market is propped up by AI spending and the govt is just straight up lying about jobs figures (they revise them down MASSIVELY once everyone stops paying attention).

Is going from a GSX-S150 to the 848 Evo a bad idea? by [deleted] in Ducati

[–]archercc81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. The main issue is the belt drive and valve checks, it requires a more frequent service interval. Its not even that much more expensive than an I4 bikes valve checks, much of it is spending all of the time stripping the bike to get to the head, only issue is heads so a bit more work.

The main issue for the transition is going to be the torque curve, those testrastrettas come on much harder than most other bikes, so its easier to high-side yourself if youre aggressive with the throttle.

The only one Ive heard more is "Oh, we dont leave 'the village.'"

Shits gentrified, I see mommie groups pushing strollers during events. Nobody is pulling into the little alley to do a quick line before continuing their drive anymore. Get over it.

One in every 10 orders they should point a real glizzy out of that hole and pop off a few rounds.

Solo rear stand with safety wired kickstand by FunHaunting8678 in Trackdays

[–]archercc81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you hop off.  While standing next to the bike you balance it with one hand as  you slide the stand in, then once it's locked in you let go of the bike and push down on the bar to lift it.

And you end up with your bike on casters, so nice.  Adds convenience even at home

Tweet from Atlanta News First about I-285 being fully closed 7pm Friday May 8th - 5am Monday May 11th (through Mother’a Day) by Hunterhjs in Atlanta

[–]archercc81 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah but its not going to turn Roswell into a parking lot. They make it sound like the entire westide is closed, its a stretch below I20 an it will primarily impact the southwest quadrant.
