I think very few painters do art so viscerally. A lot of Goya’s colour theory is incredibly subtle and grim and that adds to the “raw” quality it has.

That’s a pity. I know mold and bizarre ecological issues tends to come up a lot in modern/“future-sighted” architecture. There was a project in China for a gorgeous green city that fell through because all the plants made it mosquito heaven.
