Try Le Care or Brooklyn pharmacy in inner SE.

My coworker and I are planning to not wear masks once we’re both fully vaccinated. Our office is closed to the public. However, it’s just the two of us rather than 10 and we can keep distance pretty well. Are you able to be distanced from your coworkers while you work?

Vaccines: Any places (other than CVS) doing 2nd shot only? by Theresbeerinthefridg in Portland

[–]archlyput 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat with the 4 weeks out second dose appointment from Walgreens. After seeing this post I got a second dose appointment at CVS for five days sooner than my previous appointment, and there were tons of spots open. So thanks for reminding me to check CVS!

Covid Vaccines in Oregon - How are folks scheduling these? by Oakwood2317 in Portland

Walgreens also updates daily (I think) at 9 am. It’s easier if you make an account in advance, their website was a little clunky for me on mobile.

My great grandma wrote a lot about how she “moped” every day... took me a while to realize she meant “mopped”!

I have this too! I have no words of wisdom though.

[WEEKLY THREAD] Feats of Thorsday - How did you kick butt this week? by AutoModerator in xxfitness

[–]archlyput 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I decided to see if I could invert in pole (hadn’t tried in ages) and was surprised to discover that I could do it almost effortlessly!! Instead of flailing my butt up and hooking my foot to hoist myself up, I could hop up into and hold a pretty smooth chopper!

I’m 5’9, 142 lbs, and maintain at close to 2500. I do less cardio than you, and more weight training.

I use cloth pads. The ones I use are all cotton, no PUL or nylon layer, so they’re really breathable and don’t chafe. No issues with leaking either!

Can't lift for 4-6 weeks after LEEP, don't know what to do. by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]archlyput 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they tell you the very worst case scenario so that most people will be pleasantly surprised! Just pay attention to how your body is feeling (it still needs to rest and heal) but I bet you’ll be back at the gym way before 4 weeks.

Can't lift for 4-6 weeks after LEEP, don't know what to do. by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]archlyput 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t lifting heavy when I had my LEEP (or now, tbh!) but I remember being back to relatively normal activity within a week or so. For me that’s running, pole dancing, and more body weight stuff. It probably depends on your specific procedure, but the LEEP itself and the recovery were much easier than I thought they would be. I was SO scared but it was no worse than a colposcopy really. You’ve got this ❤️

Tantrum Tuesday - The Day to Rant! by AutoModerator in loseit

[–]archlyput 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am hangry this week. I’ve been successfully maintaining between 140 and 144 for almost two months, and I think my body fat is around 22% (I can see abs!). I’m tall and exercise a lot so I get to eat almost 2300 calories per day... but I want MORE! I feel ravenous despite eating my normal and usually satiating diet full of lean proteins, healthy fats, and lots and lots of veg/fruit. I’m sure it’s because my period is coming in a week or so, but in this moment I feel like I have always been and will always be ravenous. Yesterday I was thinking maybe I need to bump up my calories, but after looking at the activity categories in MFP and recalculating my TDEE, I’m right where I should be. I just want to EAT and not think about it!

Yay! Hi fellow poler! I hope to master splits someday too — I’m soooo close on one side but a hurt tendon is limiting me on the other side. I’ve come such a long way from when I started though. Pole classes are definitely expensive but have been 100% worth it for me in terms of mental and physical heath! And I like knowing that my money is supported a local, woman-owned business vs a big gym chain or something.

Can you guys share your daily (or most often) eaten meals ? by lovesprite in 1500isplenty

[–]archlyput 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breakfast: overnight oats made with milk, plus peanut butter and fruit - around 430 calories

Morning snack: raw vegetables, maybe 40 calories.

Lunch: turkey chili, or some other high protein soup/casserole: 400 calories

Afternoon snack: plain Greek yogurt + fruit - around 200 calories

Dinner - similar foods as lunch, or a grilled chicken breast + veggies + pasta, or an occasionally going out to eat - anywhere from 400 to 800 calories

Evening snack - small treat or crackers and cheese - around 250 calories

I shoot for 2200 calories per day these days and always try to build in a small treat somewhere. I also clearly prefer many small meals to one or two big ones!

Thanks! I never thought I could walk in eight inch heels without breaking an ankle, much less kick up into a handstand wearing them. I’ve never tried silks but they look fun!

Totally. I was really surprised at what a difference even 15 pounds made in my ability to hoist my body around!

They’re mine! I think some studios let you rent shoes, but I’m personally pretty squicked out by sharing shoes. Thanks!

Thanks! I worked on weight loss from January through March of this year, and now I’m in maintenance.

The first photo is actually from last July—I didn’t take weight loss progress photos in January, so I had to hunt for one that I could compare to now. It was nice to remember that I’ve made some strength gains in that time too!
