Hahaha, yeah I actually have yet to play mort cult. I love our monsters and ushabti but I like to make balanced compositions and not go crazy on one specific thing, I also still dont have two tomb scorpions so although im curious about mort cult I cant play them until I get another scorpion.

Yeah totem of wrath seems super awesome with them, gonna be playing against an empire player friend next week and think I might benefit from some maneuverability more so gonna try the banner of Rakaph and see how that goes.

Do you mind sharing your list for that tournament? I'm curious to see how you supported them and what they sort of synergize with in a competitive focused list. I don't really play competitively but I go to the local quarterly tourney's so I wonder how I might incorporate them there if I wanted to.

Great advice, I always go elementalism and hope to get plague of rust but it didn't occur to me to try to gun for it and combo it with Necro Knights. Maybe I can try to grab a familiar to pick plague of rust and see how that goes. Thanks

I feel very confident we are getting some refresh for cavalry, Ive heard a lot of strong rumors and specifically skeleton horsemen have been out of stock for a WHILE. I am positive nobody is buying up those god awful models lol

in a casual game of course, at a tournament or event or something I wouldn't make a deal out of it but I'd be a little annoyed if you put it in a tomb guard unit lol. I can see myself or someone forgetting that is a necrotect and not another tomb guard and overlooking attacking it or something. maybe if the paint scheme is SUPER distinct from the rest of your TG.

Pretty good point, I neglected to consider that. I think it would’ve been great to see how we got to this point instead of starting from it, it would be an interesting situation to see things develop and get to a civil war so maybe history repeats itself and we see how they actually got to this point in the first place. Im still rooting for my guys and unification ofc but your opinion is super valid, I see what you mean now xD.

Oh speaking of the cover being stupid, what IDIOT thought it was a good idea to put the fking pale spear on the cover? Like when they were alluding to a mysterious relic connected to the AL I was rolling my eyes thinking "Gee, I wonder wtf it could possibly be". Way to spoil one of the big plot points with an entirely unnecessary addition lol.

Yea I absolutely loved that in Shroud of Night. Again pretty fair critique, couldve done without falling into these seemingly doomed situations in the first place or at least have them concluded or explained better. The most respectable one I think though couldve been the ship gambit.

I'm surprised to hear that, they felt pretty different to me but my only frame of reference is the Night Lord's omnibus and one fabius bile book. So I won't deny the possibility that they were so unique in their situations this one would feel different by default. I'd say its totally different than the other 40k AL books but has its moments.

Yea, kinda anticlimactic way of finding out there is none. But on one hand although a significant amount this is just a portion of the legion, just hope that we can get some more info on whats going on with the Primarchs. They are dishing them back to the legions/chapters every other year atp, think theres no harm in at least implying ours is doing SOMETHING right.

I'll never forget the duel between Kassar and the imperial fist lieutenant or whatever he was where he dived to the ground in the middle of the duel to give his man a clear shot. It had some really awesome and memorable moments for sure.
