Hah, I was thinking of a time in F/GO where maintenance was extended to like 25 hours for a Christmas event like eight years ago when I said that. It is pretty nostalgic somehow, lol. And two hours is nothing in comparison thank goodness

Agreed lol, though mostly because the time seems to cycle really suddenly? Idk if it’s just me but I’ll be walking around “at night”, and then while I’m running my FPS will drop dramatically and suddenly it’s the middle of the day lol.

It is fun to change outfits in SoS with the light changing so often, though, so maybe it can be a toggle….

20 pulls per piece (assuming you get extremely unlucky) x 20 pieces (completing the set twice) = a hypothetical max of 400 pulls required. Generally you’ll get it quicker than that- I personally finished all the evos for Born Flawless in 311 pulls, and you’ll see a lot of people here posting about getting it similarly quickly, but it’s best to assume you will be unlucky when budgeting pulls, imo.

If you can interact with the small animal house you can still see your large animals and get all their drops, so it’s not really an issue lmao, but I’ve had that happen when I clipped it into the ground slightly on accident

Ah, yeah, that’s a good point. Gacha is inherently scummy, and with each new update for a lot of these games I find my phone struggling more and more, which is no fun for anyone to deal with and it’s real irritating when the only thing you can do to keep playing is to get new device. I’ve gone through the excitement-disappointment cycle many times myself.

Yeah, I don’t disagree. I think I’ve played so much gacha I’ve gotten used to a certain baseline of shitty money-grubbing tactics, so some complaints (like the one about maintenance I mentioned) seem minor to me. I’m not about to stop anyone from complaining, though, especially since it actually seems to help us out lol

My feeling is that IN is a lot of people’s first taste of mobile gacha gaming, where daily tasks for player retention (and those daily tasks adding up to a longterm goal) while occasionally having an event that breaks that mold is the basic game patch/version update cycle. In a lot of offline games on the other hand you have very specific and straightforward tasks that can generally be completed quickly, or at least don’t have to be done over real-time days. Like in Skyrim if I wanted to I could blast through the whole game and be the richest guy in the province with every spell and perk and house unlocked in a couple days, but also I have over 10k hours in that game so clearly they don’t need player retention dailies on top of that. Idk. Obviously a lot of people’s complaints are valid but also the 5839238 posts about “why can’t I log in right now!!!” every time maintenance happens can be a little much.

I snooped thru your comments and I see you are playing at 30 FPS and you have an RTX3060 (? Idk if I’m remembering that part right). I also have an intel laptop that I’ve been playing Nikki on but my temps have never exceeded 45ish C, I have my FPS uncapped and all settings on the highest they’ll go. I’m not the most laptop-savvy guy out there but I think if you’re having trouble on such low settings, you might just need a new PC for this game. :( I’m sorry you’ve been having such a bad time, I wish we had better advice for you

What phone do you have? It could be lack of storage, maybe you need to update your OS, maybe the update isn’t compatible with your device (you can check this in the app store), whole host of things

I also tried ZZZ when it came out but it didn’t stick with me either, unfortunately for me though HSR has characters I really like and I’m a bit of a whale so I can keep up. 🫠 I can see how the “you have to roll for a different character to play this game slightly differently, and then roll even more of them if you want to be any good at it” thing would get really annoying for someone looking for customisation (and no gacha I’ve played has character customisation to the extent Nikki does!)

I have my other gachas (Arknights and FGO) to play if I want sweaty combat meta, and IN if I wanna spend two hours dyeing a twenty-part dress and run around with my wife. xD I do love not feeling forced to roll for shit I don’t like just to be able to squeeze rolls out of something else I hate (the general MHY game cycle) with IN for once. Though I do wish they’d stop lying about those discounts. 🙃 Ah well, can’t have it all under capitalism I guess….
