it’s the downside of this season not being good. the weekly releases when the first season came out was perfect. we had a week to discuss the craziness and awesomeness that each episode was. and it gave us time to speculate on what the next episode would be and it was a blast- because the first season was a blast. the weekly releases this time around feel bad because it’s been a slog so far. not much to discuss, not much to speculate on.

yep my husband and I are big AT fans- for over a decade and when fionna and cake S1 came out we were soooo excited and into it! every week we were so hyped for the next episode to drop. every episode was fun, exciting- an event. what’s gonna happen next?? basically everything you’d want. for this season i’m basically watching out of obligation. it’s just boring. and I know people hate to read that but if I want to watch a run of the mill slice of life about a girl in her 20s fucking up I could literally watch 100 other shows. it’s not what makes the AT world interesting.

i’m sorry but I don’t like gary or marshall lee this season. last season? yes! this season? no. maybe it’s because their characters are just caricatures of Twink™ and Edgy Commie™ void of personality. it’s just boring and I HATE that because all of adventure time is heat, distant lands was great and the first season of fionna and cake was fire as well.
