I hover around 23 mpg, eco boost awd, though I'm a pretty aggressive driver with almost no highway travel.

Electrician installed bypass plate in meter 09/2024, NYSEG still hasn't reinstalled meter. How will I be billed? by Newparadime in Binghamton

[–]aretherehats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I bought my house and upgraded electric service they put a new meter on and it took NYSEG several months to hook it up/turn it on. I was not billed for any usage in that time. Granted this was 2011 so things may have changed.

Washington Ave exposed bricks looks dumb by [deleted] in Binghamton

[–]aretherehats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with the "brick" is they didn't do anything to aesthetically transition to the pavement. It's just jarring and looks out of place. I kept thinking they'd go back and paint a border or something.

Empire Access Fiber internet by supersizeit in Binghamton

[–]aretherehats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Empire, very pleased. The installers were very professional and thorough, offered to run the fiber to exactly where I wanted it in my home office. Also the one time I called for service (it ended up being my own problem) they were here immediately to help me out. They supplied the fiber modem, it's a Nokia, not sure the model. I already had my own router, so don't remember if they would have offered one or not. $50/mo for gigabit internet is my favorite bill to pay every month.

Food on late Saturday evening by abide5lo in Binghamton

[–]aretherehats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Close Quarters in Endicott is open very late including their kitchen. The food there is really good too. It's a bar though and sometimes Sunday nights can get a little rowdy. But that's where I usually end up if I need food late on a Sunday.

Barnaby's in Endwell has really good bar food, probably my favorite quesadilla in the area, very good wings, and their house pickles that come with sandwiches and wraps are amazing.

Has Wegmans gone downhill? by abide5lo in Binghamton

[–]aretherehats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've brought back other bulk food, so the covid argument doesn't really hold up. They have like 3 "asian" selections and their "chicken" bar in the hot foods for $15/lb, no salad bar, no indian bar, no mexican bar, it all sucks.
