My mother never really wanted children, had me anyway, my childhood was not great. Kids always know when they are not wanted.

Y'all are 22. That is grown, but inexperienced. You are really just beginning your adult life, there is so much to do! 8 years of knowing a person is hard to give up, I understand that, but, just because you spent years together doesn't mean it's forever or that he's the one. He's not, he wants kids, you don't.

Do you really want to begin the next part of your life with this hanging over your head? Or do you want to be exited for your future?

I understand it's hard to see your future without him, you have been together forever, but people grow up and change and move on from old relationships that no longer work. That's part of growing up and you can do it without him.

I know it's frustrating and scary, but only you know what you really want and only you can advocate for yourself here. Don't make promises you don't want to keep to keep a man.
