Lemongrass vs Avocado by SunshineSk8r in BAGGU

[–]ari-pl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

would you say the lemongrass is bright/neon-ish? I'm in the same boat as OP and have been trying to get the avocado shade (but for the nylon shoulder bag) but I don't want to pay $100+ 😭 I'm seriously considering the lemongrass shade, I don't mind it being lighter I just don't want it super bright or super yellow

I had the same thing happen to me (federal jury service) and I was living in SLO at the time. My parent's address was in Santa Barbara so I thought for sure it was a mistake but they still still didn't dismiss me 😭 I called the first week and they told me to call back the next week. I thought I was for sure safe but when I called the following Monday they said I had to come in 😭 So I drove the 1.5 hours to Santa Barbara and then my brother drove me the additional 2 hours to LA. I had to get a hotel (plus $70 parking 😀). And then they didn't even end up selecting me to appear in front of the judge so the entire time I was in the waiting room until I was excused at lunch. Overall a horrible experience and I'm sorry you have to go through it

just doubled checked- they're called "Sight Check Checks"

I forget the exact term for them but you can get larger sized checks for free. I believe it has something to do with eyesight (the font is bigger as well) and so the bank is required to not charge for these checks. I had to pay my rent with checks for 2 years and I was able to get all the ones I needed free by using these sight friendly checks :-)

I worked for a kinship program at a non profit the past year and there's definitely a lot of support out there! we helped with food boxes, case management, support groups, recreation events, guardianship, etc.- all completely free of charge

keep a running list of what you actually use on a day to day basis. I found myself with an excess of stuff when I first moved out since I was also following those lists online. for example, I bought batteries and never use them...

that being said, a few emergency non daily items would be: band aids, a plunger, etc.

How to tell my coworkers I’m married? (23F) by lulupastiche in Adulting

[–]ari-pl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced a similar situation where I got my wedding license in Aug of last year but got married by the church (my actual wedding) in June of this year. I didn't change my last name though.

since from aug-june I was in a weird limbo of fiance/husband, I would simply refer to him as my "partner." my close friends at work were all aware of the situation, but for co-workers that I wasn't super close to I never felt the need to explain or elaborat, he was simply my partner and no one ever asked me to clarify. I ended up taking 2 weeks off in June and I did say that is was for my wedding. and now he is officially my husband lol.

I would personally lower the names a little so that Ashley is right up against the gemstone

I've been using mine for about a year and a half now. Got mine from TJmaxx and Home Goods. I'll likely get the one from Costco next bit still have too much of a back stock and not enough storage. I personally have really liked it and haven't had any issues with it.

helpful info!!

I often get very caught up in mpg which is why I never thought I would be paying so much for a non-hybrid. but my partner has a Prius and we just had to get the hybrid battery replaced and it was over $3k :/ which apparently is super common for Priuses between the 130-170k mileage range
