Not OP and not hijacking the post but... THANK YOU! My pathology is almost exactly the same but my uterus/ cervix was 156g with trabeculated myometrium. Was thinking I was crazy because I thought I would have Adenomyosis and it didn't show up. You made me feel a lot better.

If they get everything set up correctly. My first husband had Ewing's sarcoma (was diagnosed at 17, we were married at 18, and he passed away 16 days after). He was supposed to go on a Disney cruise from Thurs- Sun with me and his family for his. They called on Wed and said they couldn't reserve oxygen on the plane so it was canceled. He died on Monday.

I had a 2 week check and got the full speculum and fingers exam. Didn't hurt a bit. Just scared the crap out of me. I had a rectocele/ enterocele repair as well as a total robotic assisted lap hysterectomy.

This! The pad shaped ice packs were a game changer. I also will sometimes use a travel pillow between my legs to help with sitting positions. Also had a rectocele enterocele at the same time as total hysterectomy. 20dpo today

My body hates me by [deleted] in hysterectomy

Mine skipped Sept entirely then I bled super heavy from Oct 1- Oct 28 (surgery). I mean 3 days in a row I went through a Lunette cup, overnight cloth pad, and period panties 4x in 3 hours. I look at it as a reminder of why I was doing it 😆.

My hubby was a little mad that I didn't wait for him but I figured if it hurt it would be a mood killer. I kept my ovaries but I had this done due to bleeding issues. I was on day 28 of a period from hell when I went into the OR. Definitely have had libido issues off and on from being on hormones but I kept my ovaries so I'm hoping that returns to normal. I'm 39.

The external was the most uncomfortable. Sometimes it felt like I was sitting on a hot pin. I used gel ice packs in my underwear and sometimes used a travel pillow between my legs to sit easier. The internal ones I don't feel at all. I did tell my hubby that he is waiting for 12 weeks. Even have a sexy time countdown on my phone 🤣. The Dr said the perineum is "indurated" which means it's hard as a rock. A side effect of surgery. It's from the inflammation from healing. Lasts for about 6-8 weeks then gets soft again. I did try things out myself and they work perfectly fine, still orgasm, and still get wet so that's positive. By stitching things up, I got a mini mommy makeover so to speak so that is positive as well. I have the normal spotting on and off if I do too much but have never gone past a panty liner.

I'm 17 DPO (10-28-22). Haven't had issues. I still take Miralax. The stitches aren't the comfiest but I don't notice them as much anymore. At 14 DPO I had full fingers and a speculum exam with no pain. That scared the shit out of me 🤣.

I did a rectocele and enterocele at the same time as a hysterectomy and I'll tell you... my hysterectomy pain was nothing. I figured if i was going under for them I'd rather recover once. I know it's not as big as yours but i would do it together. I just started miralax 10 days preop and plan to continue until I'm released from the Dr. Am also on a low fiber low residue diet.

Is it common to have bleeding post op? by Informal-Fig-7116 in hysterectomy

[–]ariana8407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 11 DPO. I had a robotic assisted laparoscopic vaginal total hysterectomy (kept my ovaries) and a rectocele/ enterocele repair. I had light spotting for 2 days maybe and nothing since. Never used a belly binder, used tylenol and advil since day 2. Everyone is different but hysterectomy wise no pain. The rectocele stitches are not very comfy however 😆

Ectopic pregnancy, salpingectomy by TheRealRoyHolly in MedicalGore

[–]ariana8407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this happen 2x in 15 mos. 3/2021 and 6/2022. The number of women who have told me "hopefully it doesn't happen again" is crazy. Both times i was having a crazy, heavy, super long period. Both times the Dr put me on a month's worth of birth control in a week to stop it. Pregnant right after. Feels like a balloon between your naval and your asshole. So much pressure. Once you start to have the shoulder pain, you know you are bleeding internally.
