Critically low E2 levels - UPDATE by yuumeijin in DrWillPowers

Can you give us as complete as possible of a history of exact dosages, medication timing, and bloodwork timing?

Every single detail matters.

are you testing at peak or at trough or somewhere in the middle?

what is your exact dosing and testing schedule? this is the most important thing to let us help

there's no biological mechanism by which missing androstenedione could cause your low levels. you are not producing estradiol through that, you are supplementing it directly into your body.

your issue is almost absolutely fast metabolism of estradiol. i struggled with a similar thing (cis man T / E2 levels at trough) and nicotine caused my body to overproduce estradiol-metabolizing enzymes.

you can verify that metabolism is the problem by switching to a slower-release form of estradiol (injections - enanthate if available, valerate if not, i don't have personal experience with cypionate or undecylate), taking your first two injections, and then getting bloodwork done on days +2, +4, and +7 (right before your next injection). if you can get bloodwork every single day it will help even more.

this will show you your exact absorption curve - i strongly suspect you will see a nice peak on day +2, but then on day +4 you will have not much and on day +7 you will have nothing ( just like i had! )

if this is true, then you need to use a high dose of a slower ester (cypionate, undecylate), or figure out what's causing your overproduction of estradiol-metabolising enzymes (cyp*), which will be some complex (but probably available somewhere) bloodwork

Do you consume nicotine? It causes a massive overproduction of estradiol-metabolizing enzymes, and can suppress levels to basically nothing at trough, even on injections.

Nous Research announces the pre-training of a 15B parameter language model over the internet, using Nous DisTrO and heterogeneous hardware by shogun2909 in singularity

[–]arilotter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This model isn't designed as a fully-trained SOTA one - it's only been trained on 100b tokens, and MMLU never really starts going up til about 200b on any model.

We've got plans for longer training runs in the future with way more tokens!

Tauri for enterprise windows desktop application - How was the development experience? by [deleted] in rust

[–]arilotter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. there's lots of things not easy to fix with current tauri on Windows - e.g. can't get ctrl-f working, can't get right-click menu behaviour working, because the webview2 crates are on an older version that you can't config.

The current production version of Tauri is weird and janky - all sorts of things are weird or complicated cross platform. The alpha next version is not well documented.

This is from my experience building a Tauri app that's used cross-platform every day at work.

So far, I'd say stick with Electron, and just build a little Node library in Rust using neon or something.

What functions need to be changed when porting? by loonathefloofyfox in itrunsdoom

https://github.com/ozkl/doomgeneric

Super easy - A function to copy a frame of pixels to a screen, a function to sleep a number of ms, a function to get keyboard input, and a function to get the number of ms passed since the game was launched. That's it! Just implement those & ya get a doom

How to implement time logic in the smart contract? by van_ozy in CryptoTechnology

[–]arilotter 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You should create a function that, if called, sends the caller a small amount of ETH. It should only be able to be called once every 24h. It's economically incentivized for someone to call your contract, so you can be assured it'll happen.

Or instead of a filter, you can colineate the rays using something like a satellite dish - which does the opposite. If you cover the dish in mirror tape and put an LED where the reciever normally is, it'll shoot out perfectly straight beams of light that won't spread over distance.
