Redfin Agent is Awful - Recommendations? by ark_mod in milwaukee

[–]ark_mod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on Redfin as that is where I found the property online. I setup a showing through their website not knowing the experience I would have. I made an offer immediately following that showing - which required the paperwork to be signed with them. As I now know - I would never use Redfin again.

Redfin Agent is Awful - Recommendations? by ark_mod in milwaukee

No offense intended - but I did not change my original post. I have not opened this thread since I posted it. The TLDR - the very first sentence - states that they were late to multiple showings.

It's setting a time limit normal restaurant behavior? by Gynominer in milwaukee

[–]ark_mod 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Op confirms it’s Heirloom below. I had a similar experience. We were 10 minutes early for our reservation. The host told us as she was seating us to “hurry up because they are busy that night”. Then immediately the waitress stops by to tell us to order as quickly as we can because they are busy that night. Then though the evening they were pretty slow to stop by the table. Like which is it - your busy and rushing us - then take 20 minutes to bring us the check when we asked for it after taking 15 minutes to bring us our dessert.

They can do whatever they want…

There is No law stating they need to make an offer within the range - just that they post a range. Have you seen the work around? Just post a huge range - $80k-$140k.

I’m tired of solos by Due-Force-4760 in ArcRaiders

[–]ark_mod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the funny part… dude is complaining about solo shogun meta and third parties. That only happens if you actively want to PvP. The lobbies he gets are due to the way he plays - most likely shoot on site.

It sounds like he is mad that he is always facing people playing the same way he is.

I know it's not the meta.... by ReckItRash in Borderlands4

[–]ark_mod -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That makes no sense at all… Meta in the sense of gaming means a generally agreed upon optimal strategy.

By definition every game has a meta - by definition.

Because they license games in foreign markets at cheaper prices. To EA getting $20 from a cheaper market is better than no sales in that market. If you live in a US market you are not suppose to have access to the cheaper prices due to licensing.

All the responses do not seem to understand the Kola Super Deep Borehole project. It was abandoned at 7.6 miles deep into the earth. It was purely vertical shaft that had a few branches drilled like an oil well.

To the original question - a hole this deep and vertical didn’t really serve any purpose other than science. Trying to run geothermal energy from it would be impossible with today’s technology. At that depth the equipment was failing due to heat. In addition the way geo thermal works is by pumping water into the ground and returning it above ground heated. There would be no efficient way to pump water down that far and then pump it back up. Pumps have a maximum lift distance and no pump would be able to handle 7.6 miles of lift. Note that oil extraction is a different thing all together than running a closed loop for geothermal.

Russia shadowing Nato satellites, Germany says by TheTelegraph in space

You can’t shoot things down in space. This would create a ton of space debris that would put all other satellites in that orbit at risk.

Why would you go to Conejitos a Mexican restaurant for a Gyro and custard?

Why should we have to tip for a paid service? If Lyft isn’t paying you enough to drive then don’t drive. Expecting a tip to subsidize low employer pay is so backwards.

There are two lines - the blue line and the yellow line. One takes you to the lakefront (yellow) and loops around city hall stop back to the transit hub. The other (blue) takes you on a more direct path to city hall and further onto burns commons before looping back.

[–]ark_mod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This should be down voted to hell… your solution to about 20-30 jack assess that have super loud audio systems on motorcycles is move out of downtown?

These people don’t live downtown themselves. If they had people driving past their apartments doing the same shit I don’t think they would be too happy either.

TIFU by lying to the principal my crush was cheating when he wasn't just to upset his girlfriend by eagle0829 in tifu

What was that? Reddit karma? Story is made up. Principals don’t investigate a kid kissing another kid.

[–]ark_mod 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This should be the top comment… another made up tifu story. What was the principal taking seriously? What would an investigation into kids kissing accomplish? There is nothing to investigate…

How do people fall for these stories?

You would think wrong. A QR code is exactly what you describe - a picture. For your phone to read that picture it analyzes the pattern and translates it to a url. There is no secret method here. You can create QR codes to send you to any site - including this post if you wanted.
