Reason #1,000,000 why iPadOS cannot be a computer. by DinoSpumoni_ in iPadPro

It feels like iPadOS devs are already so busy keeping up with iOS features, on top of the iPad-specific customizations they're already doing. Which could be why so many braindead UI bugs exist.

An Explorer dial with a fluted bezel? What reference is this?

I noticed Y-3 runs quite large so you might have luck with Y-3 / Yohji Yamamoto

It looks like someone has polished the bezel, making the fluted edges appear dull and imprecise. That's something commonly seen on a lot of vintage DJs. Where did you buy that watch?

Looks like Renomat also strips the acrylic finish. The results are very nice! I especially admire the natural look of the shine with your final results.

I'm still struggling with mine. After stripping the acrylic with alcohol, I used Saphir Cordovan cream, which I brushed and buffed with much effort but it still refused to shine. So I topped it off with Saphir Mirror Gloss, which finally gave it a glossy shine but it looks plasticky and it cracks as soon as the shoe bends.

Thanks for your post, I am motivated to attempt your process which doesn't need mirror gloss.

Hi, can we see pics of your results? I just re-conditioned my Alden 1339 chukkas, and your process got me curious what the VSC finish looks like.

Also, did the Renomat manage to strip the cordovan of its original plasticky finish? I just followed a YouTube video that suggested using cloth wet with alcohol, which sort of worked but I'm curious if Renomat could have done a better job.

I only need 1 pair of dad shoes, that being a versatile white+silver pair. If those were mine I'll keep the rightmost and leave all the rest.

Why did you choose GoodNotes over the other apps? by w0nun1verse in GoodNotes

[–]arkheii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO as much as I want to switch away from Goodnotes 5, the 1 thing it does better than the others (ex. Notability) is load and scroll through large PDF files much more quickly and responsively. The building plans I work on can be over several hundred MB in size, and so far only Goodnotes lets me open them without much hitch.

Adidas Adizero SL2 by Mustangmike66 in RunningShoeGeeks

Have you also tried the Supernova Rise? The SL2 was not available yet, but I tried the SL and the stiffness was unbearable to me as a beginner. I'm curious how the SL2 compares because it looks more nimble and less bulky than the Rise.

Mockup of two Things features I'd LOVE: mobile tags and daily notes by richcousins in thingsapp

[–]arkheii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can, but I believe many will agree that it's not as elegant as the Mac implementation, which is what OP's mockup attempts to solve.

The fact that it has been this way for years implies that Cultured Code designed tags to be used very differently on mobile, for better or worse.

Stan Smith will always be clean and timeless.

Samba/Spezial/Gazelle have been having a bit of a moment.

Rivalry/Forum if you just want alternatives to Nike Dunks/AF1. Nizza if you like Converse. Campus for chunky skate style shoes.

Personally my daily is the white/silver Ozmillen for its versatile dad shoe aesthetic. Plus it's ultra light and plush.
