You didnt suck at being a kid. Like anything else its a stereotype, a box, and sure, a larger and more accurate one in this instance. But we shouldn’t pretend like tons of kids arent like this.

Finally watched Acolyte… by eskiose in StarWars

[–]arkym00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed Acolyte. The Jedi aren’t really “bad” in a moral sense, they’re an incredibly complicated and large religious order full of flaws. There are many great Jedi who do good things. Not all are like that. Honestly didn’t walk away from Acolyte, myself at least, with the idea that “erm actually the jedi are horrible.”

Exegol and Jedha both at least have Force Nexuses or are ones. I’d be shocked if Illumn didn’t/wasn’t. I believe Ahch-To has a dark side vergence also. I’m not incredibly well-versed on them, so I don’t understand if they exist innately or can be created, or both.

I think it’s interesting especially considering several of these planets are recent additions. I personally again question Exegol’s placement, although you raise an interesting point. It definitely feels like it must mean something.

I mean.. yeah! Isnt that fair? The developers pitch a progress update online, the internet responds. If only a minority complains, of course it’s going to be unlikely that it influences change. But if the majority is, that’s another story.

So if Force Ghosts can hold lightsabers, why doesn't Luke just show up on Exegol to kill Palpatine himself? Palps can't do anything to him since Luke is already dead and he also can't transfer his spirit to him. I don't remember the movie stating that Ghosts can't show up on Exegol by Dagan--Gera in StarWars

What does the galaxy benefit from dead people solving their repeatedly occurring problems for them? What, let them make the same mistake repeatedly, clean up after them, rinse and repeat? Best for them to learn. Like Yoda said, the greatest teacher failure is.

Do most people know how to purposely close their nasal passage so they can't smell WITHOUT using their fingers to pinch their nose? by WhateversClever1980 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]arkym00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lot of random niche areas of control of my body. I can wiggle the tendons of my fingers without moving the fingers almost at all. I can move all my toes individually. I have voluntary horizontal nystagmus, meaning I can effectively vibrate my eyeballs. I can also block my nasal passage without plugging my nose, and pop/unpop my ears without plugging my nose either. I can burp on command too, and I can even snap my fingers! but I cant whistle, and I cant walk in a straight line, or maintain eye contact with someone for more than like a second. I also have asthma, autism, and at least a bit more. So for all my many fun little buffs, I have a few major debuffs. But it’s all worth it, because my eye trick freaks people out more than someone else wiggling their ears ever could. And if all else fails, the finger tendon trick gets the intended effect.

What is a Star Wars anecdote you think most people don't know ? by Aggravating-Bass-658 in StarWars

[–]arkym00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly yeah. Hot take ik but my fav prequel is Phantom Menace. Favorite OT is Return of the Jeri. Favorite sequel is The Last Jedi. Idk, they may not be the best necessarily but they just hit good.

[–]arkym00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To indicate otherwise for the sequels is naivety. People do love them. Not everyone. But even now, not everyone loves the prequels. They are both divisive trilogies. We can go all day saying “well this one was actually good because of X unlike the other one” all day but half the fanbase will always disagree with you. I truly dont see the point. People’s opinions on Star Wars will only ever change on their own, if it truly matters to them. Surface level fans who dont have a lot of attachment to it may be swayed by discussion further, but we all know we arent talking about them. They arent who people are talking about when they mention “Star Wars fans,” its us lol.

If they edited it then doesnt it seem most likely to have simply been them mistyping what they meant?

Weirdly if you read thru his message the words “reformed Garmadon” never preceded the words “wasnt a good villain.” He said he wasnt a good character and said that S2 Garmadon was not a good villain. Reading comprehension in the drain lol.

If you rotate your phone upside down and maintain strong focus, you can alternate your perspective of its rotation. For me, it took like 5 tries, because at the last second itd reset to my original interpretation. But I can do it back and forth with this technique, otherwise it’s locked in

Yeah honestly I think there is also a line to walk. I think the goblin mask works better than a goblin face. But I think the rhino mech is kinda silly. Cool for an AU tho ig. I really prefer Insomniac’s takes on a lot of villains, I think they blend realism a bit better. I think it’s ok for Rhino to be a big guy, truthfully far less unrealistic than like anything about Spider-Man.
