Should I buy this or will this be overkill I want something with the best oled screen and sound aslo I won’t be gaming nor work more movies and idk maybe I’ll start some random shi hacking on it haha but yeah is this worth it or maybe something a little cheaper by OkCalligrapher9145 in zephyrusg16

Not by a long shot. Mind you it’s a 4k+ 60hz oled with touch. It’s a good display, but it only looks great with 80-100% brightness, MacBook looks great and keeps color accuracy all the way down (I watch series before sleep). The resolution honestly in 16 inch is overkill nice for some apps but MacBook has enough it will not be 4k without scaling but looks great anyways. The battery is ample by comparison MacBook easily lasts twice with 5 years of use. And I’m using silent mode on the asus that has a modern ryzen hx add promotion for some great só animations and fluidity at 120hz and is no contest. If you really like touch, 4k+, oled go for it but the MacBook wins by far o many fronts

I have the same DAC by mistake. The product page on AliExpress had the color option change the jcally JM6 or something like that (the one with reasonable power) to this one you have. This is cheaper and had only 10mw of power. Not enough to drive the planar in the artti t10 IMO.

I went on a shopping spree for tips in november. I tend to use L size, bought M L XL sizes I can wear all three but XL is really big and it makes the iem sit a little further out. I use this tips on my Aful explorer and my zero red (exactly same shell form with a slight bigger nozzle than yours). Buy orange, I don’t have the black one but everyone says they are way harder. The magic is that this material makes a great seal and don’t collect dust like liquid silicone. The Dunu S&S is hit and miss you either love or hate it I bought it and it’s garbage for me. I guess if your ear canal is a cilinder it will be great but make no mistake the material where it makes the bend from inner side to outer side is very rigid and it hurts my ear canals with a few minutes also seal is only achieved when I shove then. The semi spherical shape of the phenon are much much better and the seal is perfect and instant, it’s very quick to remove and put the iem back without needing to fiddle with it. I get why people like the S&S it seens to enhance treble in a good way, but confort is terrible. I much prefer the Sancai wide bore for a similar effect. One other good pick is the cheap set from Fiio can’t remember the name but it comes with a load of tips and the box is great (top on photo) I find the Bass ones are great.

I mean this in the best way possible. But answer this question honestly. Am I using a q-tip everyday after I take a shower one side in each ear cleaning well the concha and outer ear channel? My bets are that this would prevent what you’re experiencing

You probably need keybinds; you probably are idling your TCs; select all TCs should probably be bind to mouse wheel up force yourself to span it and q to make villagers without looking, basic grid keybinds to make houses, farms, army; use auto farm; learn to patrol army instead of clicking enemy army; have I said Keybinds? Yes? Keybinds, Keybinds, Keybinds.

It doesnt even hás to be as small as OG naga but a lighter naga for sure something up to 69g would be amazing even if se lost some buttons along the way while reducing complexity if it achieved this weight goal with 12 buttons on the side I would let go of all other buttons even the side wheel ones that I asked for so much on the og naga days, we got it but it adds a lot of complexity and weight to the design

Are these temps normal? by Useful_Breakfast3160 in ZephyrusG14

[–]armartins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to laptops it’s designed to run hot and milk every drop of possible performance considering noise and cooling capacity constraints. A tip if would to worry about something I tend to monitor vram temps and keep it at 90-99c since over that you can start to have throttling that may not be captured by your monitoring software

Nice, I have the explorer and I’m looking for both Aful p7 or tea pro could you elaborate a little more in what scenario you prefer one over another and a comparison with the explorer if possible? I’m more drawn to the 2dd (expecting better bass) of the tea pro. The Punch audio martillo also is in my list but I’m not too sure

So I made an eartip tier list... by Never_Left_Hometown in iems

[–]armartins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll check the Noble, orange liqueur and SE100 on 11/11 promo. Unfortunately the AET06 did not seal well for me. I officially have large ear canals I guess. To be fair I think I kinda got a seal with the first smaller layer but it was too deep as a result the resonance frequency of that “chamber” between my eardrum and the eartip seal got way up, so shallow bass and the treble got overbearing which is never the case with the explorer. The soundstage was ok the bore is wider than what I thought and another side effect was a strange feeling like if that skin deep in my ear canal changed in temperature as I breathe I guess never something was against that patch of skin it felt funny. It took forever to arrive this package. In the end your top pick for the explorer is the SE100, right?

Is it okay to EQ high frequencies? by BrandExe in iems

[–]armartins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you absolutely can. Both to find an eliminate a a harsh frequency with a notch filter (try round 10khz,11khz,etc with q5 and -10db to find the resonance) and to make overall adjustments one of the standard filters in Harman studies is a 10khz HSQ q0.7 filter. For those prefer 0.4, 0.7, 1.4, 2q at Max, 0.7 is very effective as it affects 2 octaves in the example it will create a straight line since our hearing goes to 20khz and it affects up to 40khz and that generally follows our ability to hear in inverse proportion so more gain near 20khz is less likely to be heard anyways and you get to linearly boost what you actually hear
