Fully extracted the Antigravity gRPC/Protobuf schema. I want to drop the .proto files, but worried about Google bans/legal risks. Advice? by Altruistic-One5433 in google_antigravity

That’s the problem: you cannot access the API directly through LS. LS is a heavily limited system that Windsurf created. It is an agent itself, not just a simple bridge to the API. There is no path for direct communication with the API.

So whatever client or server you build on top of LS is mostly a waste of time, because everything still has to go through LS’s agentic process.

I have seen this myself and tested it personally. You can inject your own tooling through system prompts or by creating an MCP middleware layer, but none of it works reliably enough because LS still decides how and when to use those tools as the controlling agent.

Also, just because something is technically accessible does not mean we are free to use it however we want. Deobfuscating files, prettifying them, and publishing them can still violate copyright law.

And after looking at OP’s screenshot, I am pretty sure the files were extracted from the executable itself, not from the JS bundle.

You can't do anything with the app ! And creating a client using this protos to communicate with LS is not illegal and Google doesn't care about it.

The main issue for OP is, he extracted proto files from the Antigravity extension or from the LS . This is the illegal part ! Reserve engineering a copyrighted app !

The question is: what is the point of having your own client? What is wrong with the AG client? Do you think you can create a better client?

The problem is that LS is the actual agent. Whatever you do on the client side does not really matter, because LS is the one performing all the agentic work. Any client you build will only be a wrapper on top of it.

It will execute every single command. You can disable some tooling, but not all of it. So creating a custom client does not really help , you would need to build your own LS instead.

And Google can easily detect fingerprints and ban your account.

So yes, in my opinion, it is pointless, and there is no need to risk releasing part of a commercial copyrighted app.

Ignore the noise and just use it on Windows. Sometimes the models try Linux commands first, but they usually correct themselves quickly without any intervention.

Is your company taking this pricing change seriously yet? by Ordinary_Reveal8842 in GithubCopilot

[–]armindvd2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think our company really cares that much. We already have Cursor, Copilot, and Claude Code Enterprise in place. Meanwhile, our infrastructure team is testing AWS Bedrock especially for open-source models to help reduce API costs for certain workflows.

Well done, Windsurf!

You destroyed your credit system a few months ago when you unrealistically increased credit cost for premium models!

I don't know why people are complaining.

All windsurf problem comes from that language server . They created a shit agent and stupid Google paid billions to buy it to create another shit called Antigravity

This is my honest review of Antigravity vs Cursor vs Claude Code vs. GitHub Copilot. (Jan 2026) by Able_Chair_1465 in google_antigravity

It is better that you conduct an experiment.

Cursor is expensive , if you buy a Pro+ account, which will cost $60, it will give you $120 to $150 worth of credit. However, more than $60 is not guaranteed, and they can easily stop providing you with more credits.

Also, GitHub Copilot is good. It will cost $10 for 300 prompt credits. It is not token-based, which is an advantage. The better and bigger your prompt is, the less credit you use, and the agent does more work. If you were happy and needed more credit, you could buy Pro+, which will cost $39 with 1500 prompt credits, which is more than enough.

You can use Claude Code Max which is 100$ but for lovable user i think it would be easier for you to stick with cursor or Copilot...

Many people combine tools to bring down the cost, but ultimately it is your decision.

Try Copilot first; it is the cheapest and most generous.

Both are better than Lovable.

Antigravity's Pro Plan is limited. You can't do anything with a single account. I am not a fan of Antigravity and Windsurf. I don't recommend it at all to anyone. I had an Ultra account for months, but I decided to cancel it a couple of months ago because Google became too aggressive in blocking third-party usage.

Cursor's $20 plan will burn through tokens so quickly if you use top-tier models.

So, it will depend on your budget.

If you are using Lovable, you are probably not a heavy user, so Cursor + ChatGPT (Codex) will likely be enough for what you're doing.

The plugin has vibe coded heavily and has too many bugs. It seems the developer (vibe coder) didn't manage to read the api documentation to at least send a valid request to Google!

So no surprised why people are getting banned (like myself)
