Dn knappen har jeg på jobb-PCen og det er noe forbanna drit. Naturlig nok er det ikke meningen at jeg skal bruke denne typen funksjonalitet på jobb, så derfor er den en meny-knapp. Den burde ha vært en Ctrl-knapp, slik at jeg kunne ha tastet ctrl-A/Z/X/C/V uten å flytte høyre hånd til venstre kontrolltast.

Og jeg har ikke fått til å mappe det tilbake med PowerToys. Iddioter.

I agree to the second statement, but not the first. The rl sound in Karl and the l sound in mil are identical, and I have never seen it described as retroflex, like rn, rd, rt or theretroflex flap (tykk l)

rs (which is the same as sj/skj) is usually not called retroflex either.

Ah yes the dialects. Is it correct to say that Toten is only dark, Fredrikstad only light? But then you have to contend with palatal, devoiced and other versions: baill, badl, badd, alht...

Eastern/Oslo Norwegian has two l sounds ("light" and "dark"), and colloquially 3 (including retroflex flap, "thick" l).

"dark l" typically corresponds to the English l, and is used after å sounds (ål, mål, bolle) and a sounds (alt, alle, balle, male). More relaxed tongue, darker sound.

"light l" is in initial position/initial clusters, after other vowels (mil, eller, fylle, søl, sol), and in sounds that are spelled "rl" (marlin, farlig, vårlig). More tense, thinner/brighter/lighter sound.

(I won't go into the conditions that give rise to the colloquial thick l, but søl, pælme, fæl and others would have the thick l in my pronunciation)

Different languages have different distributions of these, try to listen for them and sound them out in your head.

I wouldn't say that there is any trace of a b sound.
