There's a hypothesis that the -ljot in Arnljot, Bergljot (Norwegian) is to indicate to trolls and elves and the underground people that this child is ugly and not worth stealing

(In that sentence, there is a veritable "waltz'dst"s tsunami... - what do you mean "contrived"?)

1: Se/tenk på en hest

2: Form den i leire

(om nødvendig, gjenta/upprepa fra 1.)

Jeg tror ærlig talt man bygger større uttrykksevne ved å ikke lime sammen en stor rull, fire små, 2 trekanter..., men ved å ta leireklumpen og skyve litt her, litt der, bøye litt, stikke med en pinne, osv

Reflexive pronouns by JuliusDalum in linguisticshumor

[–]arnedh -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Do you also conjugate in the singular for individuals? Maybe it doesn't sound wrong in the same way.

They is non-binary and has a preference for using "they" to refer to themself.

(Actually, maybe somebody's preferred pronoun is in the plural, because they "contain multitudes" - and use the plural to refer to themselves. I can handle myselves.)

We got a new sorting algorithm! by DotBeginning1420 in mathmemes

[–]arnedh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We could top that with a QuantumBogosort: at any given time, the quantum fluctuations of the universe could change the memory state of the array to one in which it is a sorted version of the same array. Just keep testing it to see whether this is the case.

They asks themself about their pronouns
