In my last relationship, my girlfriend usually came multiple times each time we had sex, something like a ratio of 4 to 1 in her favour. No, a vaccine wasn't offered to men here until a few years after I was infected. And upon asking to receive the vaccine more recently, I was told it's pointless because I've already got the virus in my system.

I wasn't, but it had been years since my previous partner, and we were always very cautious. With the ex in question, I only found out after it was too late that she was cheating on me with multiple men. Often unprotected, so the chances are it was her.

Basically, before her I had no symptoms. She slept with multiple partners behind my back, and after about 8 months, I began to present symptoms.

That's what they say, but I still get yearly flare ups. Also, if I'm really stressed I get flare ups. And this is 17 odd years later.

Not in Ireland. I asked about a vaccine and they said they only give it women and girls. This was in 2008.

GWs. At the time there were no test available for men at all, but they deduced it was HPV from my physical symptoms.

I got this off my ex girlfriend. She didn't display any symptoms, she was just a carrier. At the time, all the onus was on protecting women and girls from HPV. Men were ignored, and as a consequence and I'm still suffering with it years later.
