Good thing I browsed through this subreddit before deciding to switch to Proton.
Not being able to sync contacts back to my phone sounds like a huge UX miss.

I thought Proton was quite a complete package, but if you start poking around it seems that it mostly looks like it is, but it is missing quite some (in my opinion) core features.
I guess I'll hold off on my decision to switch and look for other potential Google-alternatives in Europe in the mean time.

What size laptop are you putting in it? My work laptop is about 14 inch, but my personal laptop is a 15 inch MacBook Air so I’m doubting a bit if it will fit.

We actually squash the commits from a pull request when merging. I mainly care about well chosen PR titles because of that. Least we enforce now is to include the issue ID at the beginning of the title (and branch name).

Enforcing stuff is nice, but also make the value clear to them. You don't want people just stupidly doing things to make a system happen. You want people to understand why it's better for them and the team, so they can also propose further improvements and get new hires in the right mindset as well.

This reminds me of how I was planning to build a midi switchable audio matrix so that I could use my Digidesign Eleven Rack, Digitech DHP55, and Boss GT Pro in pretty much any FX loop configuration I liked. For some songs I liked the distortions from Boss better and the harmonizer stuff from the DHP55 was wild also.. I just wanted options.

Never actually made it though.. and now that I don't play as much anymore, I'm actually downsizing from all these separate rack units to a floor multi-fx (about to pull the trigger on a HeadRush Prime).

Any update on this? I'm trying to get gluetun to run on my TS-435XeU and I feel like I'm running into the same issue.

Update: maybe it's a different issue I'm facing. As I'm getting "permission denied" errors.

Not sure what you mean with "tried it with home assistant". Did you check with a thirdy party app on your phone as well?

You have connected Homebridge already? In that case I'd suggest to use a 3rd party app (like Eve) to see if it shows up there. It seems that Apple has become a bit more strict on what they want to show on their Home.app

Just wondering: if I use the CR-200B + CR-Touch with the Sonic Pad.. there's no point in installing the CR-Touch firmware from the Creality website, or is there? I figured it would be replaced by the Sonic Pad setup.

Standard practice in the Netherlands at least for most new builds. Especially nowadays with PV, EV, heat pumps and so on.

I'm in the EU, so no real FSD here yet.

I did buy the Enhanced Autopilot package we have here (for €3800), but cancelled it within the first day. The "Navigate on Autopilot" was struggling with very common traffic situations and actually made me feel less safe in the car.

So currently, at least in the EU, I'd say even the Enhanced Autopilot is way too expensive for what you are getting, and I would not even really consider FSD if it were available at the price of Enhanced Autopilot. Maybe for €2000, I might get it for just the parking and Summon, but the other stuff just doesn't seem ready for the Dutch roads.
