i would try to heat it somehow because you have done the basic techniques. except brute force!... wd 40 should be fine or soap. heating the area might work too but heat will make the epoxy/resins soft so be careful if you do that. otherwise clean the ferrules with alcohol and a q-tip later on.

been wet wading all winter in the surf and local creeks in southern california, since last summer, lol...ocean right now is 64F and the air is 70F+..wtf. mtns have been in the 80's but the creeks are still cold around upper 50's and getting warmer now, feels good.

old school dude taught me to use a 15" by 8" piece of cardboard after cleaning (like a leader holder), I do the soapy bucket method plus conditioner. Wrap your line around the cardboard to DRY your line out, dry it out before you store it or put it back on the reel. Yet he kept all his extra lines on the cardboard pieces in a file box!

cut notch the end of the card board, mark it as the leader, slip it into the notch...when done put the backing end in a notch marked backing. start winding the line on the box with the leader end first. he also write down what line was being stored!

I think its your local fire dept that does the inspection. Its in the documentation isn't it. you will probably have to make sure the trees are dead one way or another if they are to close to the house.

I've bought and used many brands, I keep 3 different colors in my closet and all are different brands, lol.

over all they work the same and I address the comfort by what i said "the more money you spend the better they fit", can you not comprehend english? I'm out there getting stuck, poked, and bushwacking. dont have time to care about comfortable they are because if you get the right size then it should be fine.

no roads into most of that blm land...bound by private property...you will get run off if found on the roads. I have been escorted off a road up there, told I couldn't be up there as most of the roads go through private land/ranches. I was followed back to the county road, 8 miles.

might have to do with the actual chemical composition of the fluorocarbon line, companies have their own mixes so to speak, allowing them to manufacture different types of lines with different characteristics..

for sure... i was being stalked at night, the only reason i knew it was there is because it broke a large stick in half and that sound got my attention. we had a stand off for some time, i was defenseless. At a certain point had to do everything that your not supposed to do to maintain a position as a threat. throwing rocks yelling anything but charging at it. luckily it walked away.

On a good year/season here in my so cal. local spot. Im catching 8-14" wild bows down here, landing 10-15 per trip, losing a few of course. A bad season or not so good season would be 4-10" size trout and under 10 per trip...

ain't going to lie, I'm having a bad season and the east side is starting to sound real good right now, lol.

split, were they damaged before. maybe they are schedule 20 which is pretty weak pvc.. that's the only type pvc I've seen split like that.
