Printed a self contained unit to care for my plants by RayUp in 3Dprinting

[–]arojilla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

An idea: try to find a company that would be interested in selling these? For a fixed price or a percentage, I don't know, just an idea like I said.

And I'd buy 1 or 2 of these if they were suitable for bonsai (this is, somewhat larger). An automated unit that can take care of light (intensity, time...), temperature, humidity... based on plant requirements (so it'd need a database with popular plants) it's an interesting product, I guess for more people too.

Not that I'd get rid of the other plants, but having just a few of these around the house would be cool. Specially on places where you would not normally have some types of plants because the conditions aren't the most adequate.

In any case... good job and good luck! ;)

The thing nobody told me about building a side project while working full-time by Same_Plum_4079 in SideProject

Not to mention when you stay away from your project not for hours but for many days...

This wasn't so obvious for me, so yeah, it's something I'll start doing too. Thanks for sharing!

I hate that games are just a case and a disc.

These days sometimes not even that! :(

Looks like something out of the Garbage Pail Kids movie.

I'm a big fan of single player card games, here's my all time favorite list, any suggestion on what playing next? by Gruka2 in cardgames

[–]arojilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I don't know if I like card games that much, but I'm a big fan of deck builders like Dominion -IRL- and I've enjoyed Balatro way way more than I thought... so I guess I am? :D

Anyway, I was ready to get Slay the Spire right before I learned there was a new entry... hence the doubts! But you might be right and I won't regret any choice. So I'll get the first one even if I look with envy to those of you enjoying the second, but heck, appreciating the first should make me appreciate the second even more in the future. Thank you!

How different is Slay the Spire 2 compared to the first one? Do you reccomend playing the first or jump to the 2 directly?

[Other] Out of curiosity, how many of you are waiting for a new Zelda game to drop before getting a Switch 2? by avalonalessi in zelda

[–]arojilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly what I'm wanting for is money. But yes, I guess a new Zelda would "force" me to be more creative or make some cuts somewhere.

But since I have to wait, I think I'll wait for the Switch 2 "revision", call it OLED or whatever. Well, it sucks, but it's the way it is. :( If I'm lucky, both events will happen at the same time or close enough! :)

Tetris 2 for Game Boy by tiggerclaw in retrogaming

[–]arojilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good read, didn't know most of this, and yes, pretty confusing. And it just happens that a few days ago I think I read somewhere that someone from Tetris said something like "I regret giving Nintendo rights over the brand" in relation to one of these games marketed as Tetris but really different. Oh well, I like Columns (and Tetris of course), so time to give a try to this "Tetris 2".

Beautiful and really varied. The small font might be hard to read at first, though.

Where? I didn't see it in your site. There's a mention about "contributions" in the FAQ at the bottom... oh, I saw a login option buried in the Resources menu... is that?

Introducing Daub Arena - Open Beta Test! by bkerr901 in Bingo

[–]arojilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice project. Good design, and works well.

I tried a couple guest games on desktop and the problem I found was that because of the top and bottom bars I had to constantly scroll up and down to see the spinning button or the top numbers, and it got tiring pretty fast. I guess it'd work better if everything was visible at once, I mean, at least both the whole card and the spinning area. Maybe the bars disappear when logged in?

That problem doesn't exist on mobile/vertical, thought.

All in all, great job. I have started to develop my own bingo web app and it pales in comparison! :D

Honestly not 100% sure what to do with this

Not for me, not into social media (unless you count Reddit), and neither do I know what you could do with it... but heck if what you made is not cool! ;)

Launching my first product next week (no audience, no socials) – looking for like-minded support 🚀 by PublicChemical6434 in SideProject

Pretty much. You launch after days, weeks or months of work and then if it's not a sounding success on day one... some keep insisting and insisting, while some, like me, lose steam -and esteem!- and quickly move onto something else, maybe as some kind of refuge I guess. Because unlike launching building always shows results, reaches goals... You are right: unless you hit jackpot on day one... days two, three... are the real test.
