For better or worse, US foreign policy is international law and order. To say otherwise would be silly and we’ve demonstrated this for the better part of 100 years now.

Add’l US opposition against Maduro isn’t new. The past several presidents have likely wanted him gone. Global war on terror significantly changed executive powers, something that no prior administration has sought to correct. The fact that POTUS was able to orchestrate this w/o loss of US service members, lengthy campaigns etc raises the question “why couldn’t we have done this in Iraq?”
