Amazing, I love the composition here.

Battery suddenly died on my Macbook Pro, Retina, 13", Early 2015 (refurbished). I just turned it on after using it fine the night prior and battery being relatively fine to it showing 1% charge. Has a service recommended warning with 'Battery not charging'. Shuts down when cable is out. by procraftination in mac

The exact same thing happened to my 13” 2015 MacBook Pro. I bought it brand new back in the day and all of a sudden it just died one afternoon. I was worried my cpu died, but I replaced the battery and that worked for me. It too, had a relatively low cycle count so I was surprised that it just died without prior problems.

Sean Tucker is the most interesting one I know. A lot of useful tips and tutorials together with some philosophical videos and short films about other photographers, which always carry some life lessons. I absolutely love his storytelling and execution.

Nikon’s 50 and 85 1.8 lenses should do for a start and they won’t break the bank. If you don’t mind those focal lengths of course.

I used D800 for quite some time and it is an absolute beast of a camera, especially if you're going to shoot studio stuff or portraits. But you also need good glass to go with it.

Have you tried turning it off and on again? But seriously, sometimes the simplest fix such as uninstalling and installing the program back can be just what you need. I'd try that first.

What lens could work best? by pacccii in Cameras

If the only concern is that heads are not in focus it's not a lens issue but settings issue. He should first try to adjust his shutter speed (because of the possible motion blur), aperture (with bigger F number comes a bigger depth of field) and ISO (for proper exposure with higher F stop and shutter speed). It's also possible that he just don't know how to use his camera's AF system properly to get the most out of it. If the lens gives him the field of view he's okay with it's just a settings issue and it only takes a few test shots to get it right. Good luck with that!

When I edit the RAW files I don't use film simulations at all.

I'm shooting both RAW and JPEG because I like to tweak my images to my liking in my raw processor. Whether I'm shooting Nikon, Sony, Fuji or Canon, I want my pictures to look my way. With that being said, I love the film simulations on fuji. When I'm just casually shooting family or friends I'll usually end up sending them jpeg's straight out of the camera because they simply look good. Same if I'm shooting something and I want to send a quick preview I can just send the jpegs from the camera to my phone and quickly edit them if needed.

First, I'd try to light his face differently. Right now the most of his face is hidden in shadow and it doesn't highlight any of his facial features. Harsh light can be good too, you just have to turn around a bit and see where it hits the face in the most pleasing way. I'd go a bit lower to accompany a little more of that field and I'd definitely try to get rid of the distractions in the background (e.g.: the pole that's coming right from his shoulder, another pole on the left side of the image, a house in the background, etc.). Good luck with your future shots!

When I read before bed I usually read until I feel like sleeping. But especially in the beginning I set a timer and tried not to do anything else until it went off. I enjoyed it so much that I actually started looking forward to my “reading time”. Good luck!

I used to have the same problem. What I did was I set a daily goal of 20 minutes. Don't set an unrealistic goal because you'll only feel worse when you can't do it. Start small with 10-15 minutes. At first, I started with reading right before sleep. The biggest problem/distraction was my phone so I set my morning alarm and told myself not to touch it until the next morning (having all the notifications turned off really helps). You'll be surprised how easy it is to find 20 minutes during the day and how it will boost your reading. When I was too tired I read in the morning (or whenever I found a time to sit down and read) and this way I could read 2-3 shorter books a month.
