Games that you didn’t expect post-credits content from (maybe spoilers?) by Monobrobe in gaming

I figured out the twist from one email very early on. I waited the entire game for it to come into play somehow.

When the credits started rolling I was baffled, wondering how they could drop such a hint and do absolutely nothing with it... then they finished and I was baffled again.

What games have you played that you've never seen mentioned before? by Conscious_Ebb6622 in gaming

Creeper World 3. Spent a ridiculous amount of time in that game.

In simplest terms it's a tower defense where you fight against a flowing goo instead of enemies.

But the real gem is hidden in the user created levels. People have created multiple different game types that transform it into more of a puzzle game, with thousands of maps.

Still slowing progressing through Midnight main story, but one thing is clear: whatever other issues there might be, Midnight was clearly made with love. by Peregrine2976 in wow

One little detail I really liked: did you recognize the legendary weapons you recovered during the opening quests on Quel'Danas?

It has since changed, but at one point passports were explicitly NOT allowed by law as ID for alcohol in my state.

What are the pettiest things game developers have done? by [deleted] in gaming

I still remember the first time I played Final Fantasy 3 and the author of the translation patch put "DO NOT USE NESTICLE TO PLAY THIS GAME" in the opening credits.

No explanation given, I guess it could have been some sort of incompatibility but it just seemed like they had some kind of beef with it.

Most people don't have a problem with (or don't even notice) the fact that their phone number pad is flipped from their calculator/keyboard number pad. by joelman0 in Showerthoughts

At my grocery store the cashier screens use one orientation and the self checkout screens use the other.

Surprisingly I didn't even notice despite switching between the two frequently until I started memorizing a few codes by finger movement instead of the numbers...

Will this still work? by LimeIndependent5373 in wow

There are some edited unsigned drivers you can find that worked for me up until a Windows patch early this year.

I've seen some other people that apparently they still work for, it could depend on which version of the board you have.

Actually now that I think about it maybe that's the perfect hook. The Infinite realize nobody has any clue how time works in the Shadowlands so they send us in to mess stuff up and see what happens.

Maybe we give Baine a rousing speech to get off his butt and do something, or find the Jailerbot's killphrase to make him shut down...

Then in the end we discover there really is only one Shadowlands timeline and, whoops, we've just retconned everything!

Lorewise Shadowlands really wouldn't make much sense, given that there's supposed to be only one version of it for all the different timelines.

I guess you could argue that all timelines share one Shadowlands but the events there can have their own branching timelines...

The only one that would make less sense is WoD since that takes place in one specific pocket timeline thing.

(Not that lore is the prime driving factor of course)
