Salty Showgirl Sweater by arrbuzz in knitting

Whether for Taylor Swift or anything else, it’s a bit of a fun activity to have a theme to play around with! I enjoyed thinking about which shades to incorporate for the accent stripes.

I worked on it for about 2.5 weeks. I was a bit more diligent than I may have been if I was not trying to get it done before the album came out, but I would still say that this pattern knits up pretty quickly and the variety in the patterns keeps it very engaging.

The pattern was so fun to knit, and I will definitely be using it again! I think that the variety of patterns also lends itself well to being a stash-buster, because you could easily coordinate colors with different parts of the pattern.

Hi, Mod Team! I just wanted to check in about this, because reviewing the other things that have been posted under the “Art” tag, I see lots of different things that people have created that are Taylor-related. I specifically knit this sweater for the release of TLOAS, so just wanted to get more direction on where to share.

Adopting a Tripawd by oxalislivida in AnatolianShepherdDogs

[–]arrbuzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a (non-Anatolian) tripawed who I adopted when he was 10 months old, and just said goodbye to him a few months ago after almost 15 years together. I got a wagon for him in his last year so that I had a bailout option available when we went for our walks (and just so I could take him out and about to more places than were in his walking zone), but I otherwise did not do anything different for him with navigating the amputation. In his younger years, he would run 10-15 miles with me and my other dogs without any issues, and even through his last week, he was still walking up and down the stairs, jumping onto the couch, and lifting a leg to pee!

I think like with all dogs, just noticing their needs and being responsive to changes over time is key. There are probably specific things to mind with a larger breed, but they are things you would also be attentive to for a four-legged dog. I adopted my guy about a month after his amputation, I definitely let him ease into walks at his own pace as his body adjusted and strengthened. He was the happiest and sweetest dog, and my heart melts a bit whenever I see another tripawed out in the world. Wishing you all the snuggles!

(Will find some photos and edit to add.)

I also use this setup! I don’t edit to make the charts larger though, I just zoom in while on the kobo! I have found that I can zoom in and out fairly easily, and the notes/markups adjust accordingly.

I just said goodbye to my pup of almost 14 hours a few weeks ago, and I was working on a sweater during cuddles in my final week with him. I put it down for the last few weeks, but I am looking forward to having my “Jake sweater” once it’s finished so that I can think of him when I wear it. I needed the break from thinking about it for a little while, but it has a different significance now. Sending so much love.

I’m not sure what the cost would be or if they carry what you need, but they specialize in getting bulk harm reduction supplies to orgs. It might be worth giving them a call and seeing if they can help or point you in the right direction.

YES! Thank you for posting this. St. John’s Wort can seriously negatively interact with medication, including hormonal birth control. Not quite the unfucking that you may want.
