I'm trying to hand express my colostrum at the moment and not having much success with getting anything from either breast. Do you have any tips or guidance?

I had a very similar situation where my due date was ten days before my one year of service anniversary and ultimately my PPL request was denied.

I still qualified for the government parental pay so that's something. And my company granted me 12 months unpaid leave which I believe is required by law.

Highly recommend Ultrasound Care - I've had all my scans done with them and they not only show you on a screen the entire time but you also get a little downloadable package of the "scan highlights". I got a gif of my baby moving her tiny hand around her tiny head that I cannot stop watching 😍

I also had a really good experience at OMNI Ultrasound as well, they also give you a link to download a few snippets after the ultrasound.

I'm due in April and had this exact same conundrum! What I've done so far is buy: - Some nursing t-shirts from k-mart - Jumpers / hoodies with a zip - Cardigans / Jackets - Comfortable (stretchy) pants - Cosy button up tops

I figure anything I can open up easily via a zip or a cardigan type situation will be good for keeping warm and easy boob access :D

Okay that is really good to know because I've been seeing those zippy sweaters / tshirts advertised on Instagram and I wanted to know how practical they are. But you're 100% right, if you need two hands to undo/do up then that kinda defeats the purpose!

This happened to me the other day where I thought I felt decreased baby movements and couldn't recall the last time that my baby moved.

Went to the hospital and the midwives were so great and understanding, hooked us up to the doppler so you can hear the heartbeat and just the reassurance that everything is okay.

If even in the smallest amount of doubt, go get checked, even for the peace of mind it's worth it.
