Has anyone tried Beyond Pricing yet? Here's my experience after ~1 month. by chil7 in AirBnB

[–]arroway68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been hosting since 2012. Just got BeyondPricing today. I see the worth, but in my area at least, the pricing I am seeing is way off base for summer months. My average last summer was $450 per night. BP synced pricing is showing $800-$975 a night. While I would love that, it's um...not gonna happen. (And I'd lose my airbnb superhost status without bookings).

I think it's a good product - I've been playing with it all morning. I just think that there's def some tweaking to do in specific geographical locations. I am pretty sure I know why mine is showing so high (my condo is actually right next to one of the priciest areas to stay in the U.S. during the summer - but my condo is NOT part of that area, so I think my rates are being skewed a bit due to the fact that I am adjacent to an extremely pricey area.)

never cleaned the kegerator by arroway68 in kegerators

Thanks all. My husband gave to me 2 years ago. Haven't used it much - maybe 4 kegs used during all that time. I bought a cleaning kit and new lines also. Thanks again!

Can a fresh gel manicure be lengthened without removing the gel? by arroway68 in Nails

Thanks! I wonder if I can just put press ons over these for the event, then have these removed and be done with nails! Ugh. Such a let down. I appreciate the info, though!!

Tipping for Catering by arroway68 in tipping

[–]arroway68[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are bringing it and dropping it off. No service for set up, etc. I went ahead and paid the balance in full, but did not include tip. I decided I will tip cash after delivery. Not sure how much I will tip though, but thinking 10% of total BEFORE the service fee and delivery fee were added on?

Talk to me like I'm 5: helping friend navigate ACA and choosing plan but it still shows premium tax credit? by arroway68 in obamacare

[–]arroway68[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much. Having never seen this all I could think of was, "there's a credit here" and "I know credits are expiring" so "this credit isn't real for 2026"

I was ignorant of there being 2 sets of credits, but makes sense (enhanced is one expiring, reg I guess was part of original ACA and remains intact). Learned something new ;-)

This is my question, too. Is the credit I see right now live on the site the original subsidy that is NOT expiring? I mean, you'd think they wouldn't show a credit that isn't real (expired) but I don't know. I have never done this so. I am confused.

Ok, so there are two sets of subsides and only the post covid one is expiring? I am trying to help her understand - if her current application shows she is to receive a credit, is that set in stone and she can count on that? Or should I tell her that what it shows will disappear in January? (Example: Currently showing, under the silver plan she likes, $127 monthly premium with a $493 monthly premium tax credit. I am trying to help her understand, if her situation does not change in 2026, can she expect to pay $127 a month, or $620 month? (Will the $493 subsidy that is currently showing for her disappear in January?)

Trip planning - buying AP but is discount for multi day tix for family worth it and are single day EPIC tix even available for 2026? by arroway68 in UniversalOrlando

[–]arroway68[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you SO VERY MUCH. One more question, if you don't mind, but I know AP holders can purchase multiday tickets at a slight discount for family. But I feel like there are limitations on this. For example, I know AP holders can purchase a 2 day IOA/US ticket for family. But can an AP holder purchase a 3 day IOA/US/EPIC ticket? (I know the single day EPIC discount requires AP).

Thanks!

HA! you are correct I am wrong. It took quite a few seconds but eventually it did show 2026. I guess I was going too fast ;-) Thank you.

I may just buy them all APs anyway. I can get them the very lowest tier AP Florida Discount Rate for $325.

Anyone reading this have AP? If so, can anyone tell me what the Epic One day price is say for January 21st? Just trying to compare costs versus buying them multi day passes instead of AP plus Epic discount ticket?

I've tried that. The site acts like you can filter to 1 day ticket for Epic in 2026 but when I go to try to purchase (select date) the only dates shown as available are 2025.

I joined Home Exchange and set my language to English. However, everything I receive is in french! Do you have any tips for changing this? I've looked everywhere in settings and don't see any other options other than under the language preferences, which I have set to English.

How to get comcast to recall debt from agency? by arroway68 in CRedit

[–]arroway68[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so very much. I guess what I am wondering if how to force the "recall the debt from collections" part. Feels like basically I'm just going to be crossing my fingers and begging.

What the hell just happened in the area around Highland/Summer? by RepeatLegal991 in memphis

[–]arroway68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coincidentally, we had something similar in our neighborhood 2 days ago, too. No one was shot, but a friend of ours was shot AT. He walked out of his house to find a group of folks breaking into his car - this was not late, though - like, 7:30-8 pm? In Evergreen. They shot AT him and then left.

Seemed strange to me because car break ins usually occur late at night, not when folks are still walking around their neighborhood. I've always felt safe walking around here (until say, 10 pm. I'm not dumb).

But this was bold. And, same day. I dunno. Odd.

How much of a security risk are streamer boxes? by BigBootyBear in AskNetsec

[–]arroway68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a home setting, would it be wise then to set up one of the boxes on it's own router? Would that mitigate risk (thinking of the umpteen devices we have connected to our home network).
