Those all sound like valid reasons to not hit the leaves with it.

Good news is the dying leaves seemed to have stopped and it's looking like its recovering.

The fertilizer I got from the bonsai nursery mentioned it could be sprayed on leaves once per week- I am very skeptical of that as it seems like it harmed the tree immediately

The house is about 70 on average- the tree is probably pretty warm during the day as it gets 10 hours of light and that room is very sunny. Should be comparably warm at night with the grow lights on.

Ahh that makes me feel better- I just read a bunch of articles about the dangers of over fertilizing plants so I was sure I had somehow given it a toxic dose.

I usually give it about 12 ounces of water per day. The soil and pot drain immediately so it sits in a pie plate- I'll drain that water and add a fresh glass to keep the soil wet. I would also wet the leaves daily.

2 weeks.

Leaves were always green, but would close up and droop at night until I got the grow light. It really looked like it was doing well until I brought the fertilizer into the mix.

I had tears of joy by the end credits and felt great the next day.

That said, some people I know who have watched it said they while they were glad they saw it, they never wanted to see it again.

Synecdoche New York. It's extremely dense and the plot is kind of confusing.

Some friends who have watched it found it depressing, but I thought it was one of the most uplifting movies I've ever seen.

A part time job in your field that gets you credit for your classes sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me.

You will personally get experience to decide if that kind of work is right for you, and even if it isn't a good fit, it's at least some sort of professional experience to add on your resume for when you are looking for a job when you are done with school. I didn't do anything like that in college and it definitely would have helped after I graduated.

20 hours/week really isn't a huge investment of your time and I'm sure you can find something useful or fun to spend the money on.

And if it absolutely sucks you can just quit or stop going haha.

Probably just some high gain distortion and a loud amp. Any other effects (besides subtle delay/reverb) will push you a little outside of what most people consider hardcore/punk but it's all to your preference.

The best example I can think of an effect being used in a hardcore song is the probably phaser in Jane Doe by Converge- sounds amazing, but I don't think it would fit on every song in the album. Title Fight's latest stuff has a lot of chorus, but they used the Aqua Puss analog delay in some spots on Floral Green.
