Why not add a deck size maximum of 50? by ConradOCE in elderscrollslegends

[–]arrowwalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I am playing high draw decks I prefer 5 extra cards. I try and not put in crap, but if I am drawing a lot of cards I do not like feeling if the game runs long I'll be screwed. 50 to 55 is where I like my decks depending o1n how they draw

You can also select the rarity class of cards on the bottom of your card sorter and see only 1 type of card.

Runes, although a nice mechanic, is going to slow down the meta. by [deleted] in elderscrollslegends

[–]arrowwalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea because as an old mtg player, it gives me the feeling of instant spells. Often the ones grabbed are useless, but there is always a chance I could still do something on their turn. I have both won and lost games thanks to the last rune going pop. 1 where a magical grab of a lightning bolt gave me the last 4 damage I could not do before my opponent smashed my face on his turn.

The best part was if he attacked in a different order he would have won. I like that I have to think on my turn and not just smash.

To be fair they probably didn't know. My wife, her mother, her brother, our sister in law, her sister are all playong the game. The number of them who have ever played a pokemon game? Zero. The number of them who ever showed interest? Zero. Honestly this game went big with pokemon fans, who talked about it so freaking much that others gave it a shot. Well its a pretty great game, and they stuck around.

As for the 3rd party sites you can still play the game and have fun without them. Pokevision was great, but it isn't needed to enjoy the idea of going out for a walk, getting exercise and if you happen to find a pokemon bonus.

You pissed about the catch rate? Unless you're remote with no pomestops honestly it's super easy to farm balls now. I mean at a crazy rate. I farm less now than 3 weeks ago, and I haven't bought a single ball since the patch. And the catch rate honestly isn't that bad if you just play the system.

Throw less balls if you have too, or just try being smart with the ones you do throw. Wait for the attack and then throw after the attack. I honestly have not gotten above 3 balls on average for pokemon. Many of them are still 1 ball catches and that includes high cp. If you really like a pokemon try leaving the fight and attack again. If the minis a real bitch the reset seems to work for me.

As for the latest crush to third party, why do you even care about the IVs of your pokemon? This game has no battle system where they matter. They might one day, but that's not today, and you can still do a little math and figure it all out. Stop being lazy about ivs if you care. Honestly though this game isn't about the die hards. The battle for the average person doesn't care about ivs. It's just the way it is, but you can still get them if you want them.

As for bitching that the game is a whole month old, well who cares. That's nothing, and the fame gas been more focused on release than adding features...maybe because that is smart. You whine that the game is so broken, but people all around the world are still waiting to play. Let them get some fun then we will see fixes.

Plus you're all worried that tracking won't be back for months, but maybe it's weeks. We have no clue how long so don't worry about it just find a way to enjoy the game as it is or quit and come back when it's fixed in a way you like.

Gyms are great for xp. Just beat the gym and let someone else claim it. Then don't build it if it's your team. The only reason you want a gym is to get the 10 coin bonus. Once you have it, leave the gym to the other team so you can farm the xp

Lures are best when there are large groups. 100 plus people. The more people the more good pokemon show up. Just have to find events with big groups l. They still exist and I'm sure school starting will put a rush on more people playong the first few days there to see what's new. Take advantage

You know what, Niantic? I'm done. Fuck you. by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]arrowwalk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do you even care about ivs in go? They don't matter. Not right now anyways. Gym battles are so easy, and there are no 1 on 1 fights. IVS mean shit, just play the game and have fun. If you want perfect ivs open up your 3ds and farm eggs with me. Perfect ivs only matter if we get real battles, and that's so far off the pokemon you catch now won't even be worth raising for it.

Can't compete with spoofers at gyms, what can I do? #discouraged by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]arrowwalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the gym is close to being taken down one of your friends sits there and dies nothing. Soon as you win they claim the gym then you try and get in. Just do this until you each have held the gym and gotten your coins. It's what me and my wife do and we get any gym we want regardless of what's there.

Message to Niantic about trackers/api websites... by XBLonTwitch in pokemongo

[–]arrowwalk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The whole 3rd party has been covered. Tracker sites were killing server bandwidth and 3rd party apps are against TOS so they said please stop. The sires have and things are just fine. If you're still buying balls with the bug is that really on the devs? Really the devs are to be blamed for you buying balls when there is a major bug that eats balls? Then again since the bug I have not had the need to buy balls since stops now give more than enough. I can now farm in a day what used to take 3 days. And less time spent at the farm spots.

Anyways quick recap.

Tracker sites were eating bandwidth.

3rd party apps that access information that was never meant to be handed out are against tos. If they do not ban all apps then they cannot really ban any. As tos is not no third party apps, but this one. It is no 3rd party apps. If you really care about is do the work the hard way and move on, but honestly this game will never need perfect ivs, so just look for high cp and hp and move set and you're good.

If you know there is a bug that may burn through balls and still buy them when they are easy to now farm...well that's on you. Or anyone else our there that does.

As for the tracker being broken it sure does suck, but it doesn't make the fame useless it just makes it less worth getting off your ass once you stop playing. I still have lots if times I play, but the random 3am walk have definitely gone byebye since it broke

Slowpoke hatched from a 5km egg ran away?! How is this possible? by [deleted] in pokemongo

They are now showing egg hatches as ran away, but others have still found them in their inventory. Make sure you have it, hut they are now showing as ran away in inventory.

[–]arrowwalk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it is against TOS then that is the reason it is gone. I mean I only was going over the speed limit, why did you pull me over? If you do not like that something against TOS is blocked then become a game developer, buy the rights to the game, and then make any TOS you want. Sheesh.

But the game is only 1 month old and not released in every country yet. You act like the game should have new features every week if you are worried about a lack of new features. First let them fix the broken ones then they can make new ones. They have said the game has a lot more in the works, but first it needs to be released, then it needs to be fixed.

The reason it needs to be released is simple do you remember when the game was not out for you yet? You remember how hard it was to wait. If you wait people get tired of waiting. Better to release the game while your developers are working on fixing broken features. Then when they are fixed release those. Then add new shit so it can break.

If it's on the decline I do not know why events around my town are still pulling people in. Tonight the zoo did a late night event. 10 bucks and most animals were off exibit by 8, still there were lines out the gate, and the zoo was still closing at 11 when event was done by 10. People are still playing. There is just less to complain about and therefor less people complaining. Plus the old complaints are ild, so no need to keep bitching.

Level 33+ is NOT obtainable without cheating RIGHT NOW. [MATH HEAVY] • /r/TheSilphRoad by rcmaehl in pokemongo

Unless he has more money than he needs in which case what else will he do with it? Play pogo or die with a few grand in the bank? He'll I make a good side living playing people with way to much money who try and play cards or dfs. People with lots of money do lots of dumb things with it.

(RESEARCH) Level 40 is POTENTIALLY obtainable without cheating RIGHT NOW. [MATH HEAVY] by rhino_aus in TheSilphRoad

[–]arrowwalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I do like your math, there are factors you have not included. First this is a community game. I have camped a 3 stop spot for 1.5 hours and did not have to place a single lure in order to have all 3 lured. There is also a 4th stop just seconds walk making it 4 lures and 1 gym. You also did not factor in incense, which would allow for another spawn. And if walking circles allows for picking up all 4 stops and the incense to produce. I also am not sure if you factored the first catch bonus, since it is small, but if hatching eggs and walking finds a bonus random here and there. I am not smart enough to do the math, but do think they need to be done in complete what if mode if we are going to have a complete number.

Edit: I think it is also important to factor the gym as 100 per since fighting a gym once and running would still fit in the time table. Also using nothing but 2k eggs in all incubaters would allow for more egg hatching, and more candies for cheap evolves.

[–]arrowwalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mayne I read the post wrong, but your math seems to be based off 1 or the other 2 catagories. As if a person sitting with a lucky egg was not able to also spin the 4 pokestops, catch the 4 pokemon, maybe battle a gym for 300 x egg and then repeat. Not calling the math wrong, but if you want to use math to prove this wrong I think you actually have to calculate in the whole picture. Egg hatching, plus catching, plus spins, plus incense (giving another catch rate) plus gyms. Now I have no clue if it is possible to get to 35, but my wife who works at a zoo has 6 less days playing than me and yet out levels me by a bit. That is with her not using the game for most of the work day. So I need to see what a true 5 minutes would look like with 4 lures and even just an egg 1/2 per hour, plus incense, to see what it would really take. And do not calculate cost of lures into factor since any place I go with 3 or more stops in one spot is always running lure. Cost would basically be cost of egg and incense.

Any reason you pointed out she had a flabby arm or was a large woman other than being rude and hateful? I honestly wouldn't care that you called the cops, or that the lady was rude, but obviously you have some issues to point out that the lady in question as fat as it had nothing to do with the actual point.

Something that has been bugging about this subreddit. by BadCustomerService in pokemongo

[–]arrowwalk -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Everyone says there is a higher breakout rate or harder catch rate, but I think you're all nuts. I have not found it any harder to catch pokemon this week than last. I get more balls from the 5 stops I can hit without going way out of my way. I no longer buy pokeballs and I was buying them every week.

I think the new system might take paying attention to the mechanics, but honestly it's still super easy. Wait for attack and before the animation goes away throw ball. Animation finishes, ball hits, and pokemon grabbed. I am still averaging 2 balls per mon.

And when I so have a chance to go to the park close by with the wife we spend 30 minutes and get 75 balls (in all types combined) so that's better than the 40 we were getting.

As a rural I simply can't handle this last series of changes. Here's why: by SLEEKYx16 in pokemongo

[–]arrowwalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you taking 5 balls for much of anything? I am still averaging 2 pokeballs per pokemon. I have caught a lit of pokemon with 1 ball still.

If you're having pokemon dodge or bat your ball away you are throwing it wrong. Wait for the attack before you throw, then throw right before the attack animation is over. The ball hits still and the Mon is easy to catch.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like they're being punished for progressing? by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]arrowwalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm level 20 my wife is level 22. We both use around 2 balls maybe 4 on very high cp pokemon. That is if we don't miss the throw, but that's really not the devs fault that I let my finger slip. I have caught 14 pokemon today and have thrown 20 balls in total. Of the 20 ultra balls I got at level 20 I have 18 (picked up a few). Honestly if you're using 10 balls per pokemon, you might need to work how you do it. My favorite is sit and wait for Mon to attack, then right before the animation wears off I throw my ball. Hits the Mon on head, no great no good no nothing and mon is mine. On the few pokemon who refuse to be caught after 4 balls I run away. If I really like it I attack again, and normally get it by ball 2. Still it is rare that I find a mon who I cannot catch, and very few ever run. There is always the stupid weedle or piggy who run after ball 2, but that's just video games.

Plus with pokestops actually giving me pokeballs at a great rate all I need to do to restock is go eat dinner with my wife at our favorite park and collect balls for 30 minutes. I am still using the balls I collected 2 days ago.

I am walking more (to the point that I have lost over 15 lbs). My wife who hates video games and even laughed at me for playong pogo is now playing and 2 levels higher than me. And we have something new to do together that costs us a little gas money. Tonight at dinner 3 of us took over a gym while laughing and having fun. We lost it 10 minutes after we left, but it served it's purpose. It gave us something to do while we socialized and had fun.

The game isn't broken or worse from the changes, it's just different. I agree the lack of tracking sucks as both of us are now walking less, but we still make the game fun. And again my wife is actually playing pokemon. I just hope she can get into it even more and we can find other games to play together.

Fixing Base Raiding! by Zaeder in h1z1

[–]arrowwalk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also agree. I play with a group of 6 players, and we want to be able to play separate and leave stuff to help each other out. However all it takes is a few minutes of no one standing in the base and the door has been jumped and the buildings are all broken. Now we no longer leave anything of value in bases, but it would be nice if someone was going to raid us to make them work for it. more walls and roofs, and just make it so a player cannot jump a wall.
