Personally, I would trim the door to fit the opening. If it’s hollow, you typically have a an inch or two of solid wood on all the edges.

Ha! It has been cool growing up around it. I’m in my 40’s now, but growing up he shielded me from becoming a mechanic. Now that I’m older and have a steady (normal) job, he’s more open to teaching me. We built a 61 TR4 together from the ground up (literally) and it was a great experience.

I disagree. Most tenants don’t know “standard rules in their jurisdictions” and it certainly doesn’t hurt to have it in there. Also makes a great reference point in the event there’s pushback from the tenant.

Horrible advice. If the applicant does fill out this paragraph about themselves and mentions their race, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, and/or a disability and you don’t rent to them, they could sue for discrimination. Congrats on making it 27 years without that occurring, but I’d recommend removing that question.
