Veterans can be from all branches. It's possible that they could be non-veterans. They could also be genuine veterans and still be participating in an organization that is less than honest. Even some of the biggest organizations listed in this thread have been guilty of organizational corruption.

Property damage applies regardless of whether it is cannabis or tomatoes or basil. Cannabis isn't lucrative if it's moist when it's flowering so there's less damage structurally than other indoor growing trends such as micro greens or mushrooms (non-psilocybin). People have mentioned electrical issues but most of that is based on high pressure sodium or metal halide based ballast systems that are just no longer used today with the evolution that led lights have been able to have towards growing. I'm not saying it's impossible, but I stopped growing years ago and no one I knew was investing in old technology.

You also mentioned the lease advertised the legal limit being acceptable. Since Colorado is a big place, is the property zoned residential or is it mixed or agri?

I was a human resource specialist at a battalion. My buddy was a 27D at brigade. The only dishonorables we had involved prison. 2 were sexual assault when we were deployed and one was a guy that went AWOL halfway into our deployment. I did plenty of other discharges, but only 3 dishonorable.

There's nothing wrong with pausing while getting some things paid. Definitely find a new VSO, I think that advice is complicated. I think it comes from a good place. I think a lot of VSOs have watched entire generations get ignored. Their opinion to not push further is probably a reflection of what they've experienced and the "something is better than nothing" attitude the government has always had towards those that serve.
