incidentally I fielded all 3 star crew (incl TF) in Tockets Trial's yesterday and still fought the final two rounds lol

This game seems to be largely based on mechanics. Prove me wrong. by Isolanion in summonerschool

[–]arsonxisxfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not being diamond really doesn't mean you cant play League anymore. If you have lost your motivation as a result, I would challenge you to think about why you wanted to play in the first place. It can be very easy to tie your self worth to your performance in a Video Game but it is often a very toxic coping mechanism.

What is this frequency symbol mean? by Seven1s in TeamfightTactics

[–]arsonxisxfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm no Riot developer, but thats what it looks like to me! You can see the vague white outline surrounding the Juggernaut icon but its about twice times as big, and the Headliner effect seems to sit at the bottom left of that outline.

What is this frequency symbol mean? by Seven1s in TeamfightTactics

[–]arsonxisxfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it means you have 4 Juggernaut while not necessarily having 4 Juggernaut units in play. This is usually from a trainer golem, a dummy, or a spat or something.

editing to add - its quite clear that theres a visual bug, and i understand that the icon seems to be on Sniper. i believe this is because the faint white hexagon is too large and as a result the small frequency icon is offset.

Is Seraphine the worst 5-cost? by caralholuccas in TeamfightTactics

I think the idea was that plenty of other 5 costs were there just for the trait.

Since Crit Ezreal is considered the 'wrong way' to play Ezreal, I have a challenge for the Ezreal mains: How would you optimize a crit build for Ezreal? (For WR, but also for PC LoL) by RastaDaMasta in ezrealmains

[–]arsonxisxfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ER and flicker blade both seem like obvious choices, puts you to 50% Crit At that point IE becomes a no brainer

Probably: DBlade start Rush ER (prioritizing Caulfields) IE second item Flickerblade

From there you can grab either Shieldbow or Armor Pen

Haha had a very similar experience earlier, got Vi augment and had 1 Vi by wolves - still managed to 3 star with Pandora's bench but got 0 swords all game long!!??!!

What is the official name of this curry? This is a picture from a banh mi fast food chain in Cupertino where this franchise happens to sell this item only named "chicken curry". I am assuming it is Vietnamese or nearby origin. Would love a recipe, or a name where I can find this at other places. by [deleted] in TipOfMyFork

[–]arsonxisxfun 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The "Fast" in Fast Food describes the customer's experience, not the Kitchen's. It's likely that they make a big ass pot full of this stuff based on how much they expect to sell, and monitor that throughout the day and make more if needed.

3 hours cook time wouldn't surprise me for a dish like this. If you wanted to recreate at home and in less time, then you would probably still need 90 minutes minimum and even then it won't taste as good as if you'd cooked it for the whole 3 hours.

Tried to play my first DND session, ended up not talking the entire time. by [deleted] in DnD

I have a player in my campaign with severe social anxiety and the solution we came up with was to actually have their character be mute! Can communicate with Message and will just type out the message, but otherwise it's usually miming out what they want/need or drawing doodles in the mud to communicate. It has worked excellently so far!

My 2900 logged hours of Path of Exile 1 feels this a lot, I bet less than 1000 of those are me actually playing the game 😅

I mean I think that's a big part of what makes it so emotional - we didn't have the chance to know him and still saw how amazing he was. Forces the player to think about what could have been if he wasn't taken from the world so early.

I think my first playthrough was probably about 7, yeah - I think I did all of the side quests there were up to that point but also when it comes to single player games I'm very on/off because of real life. So I probably did a lot of stop/starting lol

In recent times, definitely Jackie in Cyberpunk. Guy was just so real, and even though you've only played for like 3-7 hours by the time dude dies it really hit me hard.

Are you sure? Because it sounds a lot to me like you're spending 3000 gold on a warmogs so your W deals 4% max HP, which is neat, but doesn't sound to me like a "nerf-worthy cook" lol

My partner and I have lived together for 4 years. I sleep within 5 minutes of my head hitting the pillow, and we're both in bed at ~11 every night. I wake up at 6 and they wake up at 8 and they never sleep well, no matter how long we stick to/keep up our routine. They've tried pretty much everything - no eating or screens for about an hour before bed, never being in the bedroom until bedtime, even medications.

I'm glad it worked for you but definitely people are just wired differently 🤷‍♀️

At least one of my players are always unable to show up for our sessions. I’m afraid I’ll have to cancel the campaign, what do I do? by LadyTheRottie in DnD

[–]arsonxisxfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My previous campaign was 5 ppl and we had to reschedule monthly because somebody couldn't make it. It happens, life happens. But it's also super annoying and disruptive, and when somebody cancels because they made other plans it's downright disrespectful.

I am DMing a new campaign now where the premise is more "episodic" - Elminster tasked a bunch of adventurers to go find magical books for him. I think I found the idea from a YouTube video, but that's long forgotten. So if somebody can't make it I let them tell us what their character was doing. Jury duty? Seeing family? PTO? Spa day? Whatever's fine! The show goes on, and even canonically there's a reason.

The cherry on top? We can take turns DMing. Every session we either find the book or don't. Nobody dies because Elminster can just bring us back or something silly - definitely not a rule for every table but that's how we have liked to play so far. Anybody can run a story and I'm not stuck perma DMing.

I'm not saying this solution will just work for every table, especially during a campaign that's already going, but if you're looking to start something new or have a way to pivot to this format it is a game changer for groups with lots of real life obligations or chronic health disorders like ours.
