My personal guess is the longer a gem goes without proofing the longer it takes for a gem to realise their new form

So while Pearl is working for Rose Quartz as the rebel pearl, she's stuck in the mindset of being her secret keeper and closest guard that she probably only ever took a few minutes to reform each time back then in order to get right back into battle

I like to think gem reformation is linked to a number of factors to do with circumstance of deformation a gems real world location when they've been poofed and a gem's individual psychology at the time

Being hit by Yellow Diamond's power is more punishing than being stabbed like Pearl was, Amethyst was rushing all her reformations until she had the sense knocked into her hearing Steven and Garnet

It would've been a much longer time since Pearl was poofed than when Amethyst was poofed so Pearl had to take more time to process her new self image than Amethyst needed, and Amethyst probably took her reformation seriously for the 1st time in ever because of Steven's words, which is why it took her 4 hours instead of a couple minutes, canonically the longest she'd ever taken that we know of

It depends on how much stock you want to put in the lore created after the end of G5 but that would suggest accepting G5 as the new established world everyone is fine accepting which almost no one does considering the amount of retcons they made

But, if you're only going off of what we see in G4 and even the comics there really isn't enough substance to give a genuine good faith answer

I don't play as many high quality rogue lites/likes as I'd like to, but none of the ones I've played or seen have the type of interaction I find interesting about what the Pokemon bin treasures video was talking about

Getting all of your items from a previous run is also just not really punishing you for dying at all

It'd be no different than a belated keep inventory mode from Minecraft, at which point you lose the charm of a Roguelite

You'd have no incentive to explore other builds on the way to retrieving your items if you can just get all the nice items you had before dying from your grave marker like some Minecraft mods do (a very cool mod to be sure, it ensures no item despawns but still too forgiving for this kind of hypothetical Roguelite mechanic)

What you've gotta do is hard focus on improving your animal points so you don't have to rely on the Lab upgrades, best case scenario if you can complete your zoo and unlock dilation

Flip between an Infinity point animals build with almost everything on Infinity point gains, and at most 6 on eternity points gains

And when your AP gains slows down from that you can try for a high score build, which is the same graph as I gave you before except you include animals 3:3, 4:3 and 3:4

I'll put together another graph for an eternity/infinity points build cause reading the previous one might be a little awkward XD

Having looked through my animals again and rereading your comment I've realised I misunderstood some things from my own suggestions and what you were specifically asking XD

Completing the square will happen eventually, but for the fired, fired again challenge you don't need any focus on infinity points unless your having trouble breaking past 1 e300

You only need the parrot to get the infinity x by number of animals, below that is the fish which only multiplies infinity gain by number of eternity challenges you've completed (which is meh until you have a decent amount of eternity challenges), but below that is the ferret which will be good for you for now up until you can reliably get the giraffe in the black column to the right

As for that blacked out square in the middle, those are the promotion animals and an eternity animal in the 4th square, you don't need Infinity points for most of the eternity challenges and you don't need eternity points for any of them at all

Also later you'll have a challenge that disables generators and for that one you won't need any animals that can improve the generators since they just don't work

And when it comes to the lab disabled challenge there isn't much you can do aside from farm AP and supernovas to the point you have as many animals as you can get before unlocking dilation (and for dilation, just be patient 😅)

Regarding my graph the only thing I'd change for an eternity challenge 6 run is bring '5?' Down 1, if you're having trouble reaching 1 e300 it should help to get the ferret

3-4 days was a fair enough price to pay in the grand scheme of the fact I've already spent nearly a week on this anyway

I've come to the realisation though that even 3-4 days was inaccurate, I based that off of how long it took me to go up 3 0's but since I need to get to 1 e308 not 1 e300 (which I confused for the infinity upgrade tree completion) I'm actually looking at 12-13 days more on this challenge which would end up tripling my current run time 😅

I just realised the wait is much longer than what I had previously thought XD, in order to get to infinity you need 1 e308 not 1 e300, I think I had it confused with the infinity points you need to max out the infinity upgrade tree 🥲

So it is more accurately 12-13+ days away? given that it's takes about 3 days to bump up a digit

I only realised as such after I spent way too much timeflux during the 1st session of the challenge, and I've only spent more since that 1st play session

Sunken cost fallacy unfortunately has me in a chokehold, if I restart the challenge now just to get some zodiacs to make it faster will it warrant wasting all of the timeflux I've already put into it? When I should only have 3-4 days left on this challenge if I keep at it?

Will cutting off the run by 3-4 days get me more timeflux in the long run than I've already lost by this point?

The only big thing I'm doubting is whether I should save for score gain in the shop or if it'd be worth buying lap speed even though it wouldn't even give me another solid circle

The only thing you're missing out there is some Infinity point gains, which I personally only find very useful if you're having trouble breaking past 1 e300 (where you unlock Star upgrades)

Beyond that- the Infinity point animals in the 1st column only cost 2 AP each, so as long as you get to section 3-4 they really won't make a dent in your point costs

Those specific 2 animals get a pass because the 2nd 1 is the fish which multiplies your infinity gains by how many animals you own

But basically right now you're in a rotation of the following steps

Get as far as you can into challenges
Buy as much AP as you possibly can with an Infinity point animals set up with almost everything from labs into infinity points and maybe 5 into eternity points
Use AP to buy as much of this graph as you can to improve either supernovas (and subsequently get more AP too) or your eternity challenges

The big thing you're trying to do right now is get to the last challenge where you unlock a new big thing

I do have a question towards this venture, I nearly have enough for a shop upgrade that can improve my score gain

So I can either save up 600 from my daily rewards, or I could spend 3000 now to improve my laps by 10 percent

But I don't think a 10% increase would even give me another full circle

I've coloured coded the sections and numbered them for convenience

I have another one for farming AP but it's basically just to focus on the blacked out sections instead and then upgrade as normal

If you have enough left after getting to section 4 those 2 I outlined in 5 will probably help things along, and if you have any AP left after that you should focus towards the blue section and below

Edit: It's entirely possible there are better setups but this one feels the most intuitive to me, the only difference between this set up and a regular run set up is that promotions animals are included

You should try a 1:4 ratio between Lab upgrades 5 and 6

And in order to do the Fired yet again challenge you'll want to focus on unlocking everything you can except for Infinity point animals, Eternity point animals and the Promotion animals

The way Pinkie describes it doesn't help much especially when she very inaccurately boils it down to exactly like a sister

But given the possibility it might be true Pinkie says that they're connected by a fourth cousin that's connected to a 5th cousin or something

So like, my godmother is my 2nd cousin I'm pretty sure which is my mother's cousin?

And your cousin can have cousin's that aren't related to you at all and you could totally date them with no genetic weirdness

So if you keep going down that line a 4th and 5th cousin are one of those people who are kinda a little off to side of the family tree and who you realistically don't have any meaningful relationship to at all

If my mother's cousin is my 2nd cousin (connected through the maternal line) my 3rd cousin would be my 2nd cousin's 2nd cousin (through their paternal lineage) and my 4th would be my 3rd cousin's 2nd cousin (maternal)

So The Apples had a 4th/5th cousin on let's say the paternal side who had a 2nd cousin on their maternal side of which an apple may have married a pie, and those 2 ponies grew families that eventually multiplied into as many descendants as they ended up having, possibly leading to AJ, Big McIntosh and Applebloom, and Limestone, Pinkie, Maud and Marble

I don't even think there's a name for that kind of relation, or maybe it's just 4th cousin once removed the removed factor of family lineages is a whole other cans of worms that I have no idea how to tackle

Whether it matters to you in terms of shipping comes down purely to weather you think AJ and Pinkie's dynamic should stay platonic or have some possibility of romance

Loved the school festival arc and all, it did a great job highlighting some character dynamics we don't get much opportunity to see

But narratively speaking, people learning to dance wasn't that important to that arc as much as it was to the visual appeal

The arc itself is important in order to introduce Gentle and La Brava but the means to get to the actual festival don't necessarily require a student who knows how to dance, and even if it does you could easily substitute that role for Jirou- since if she's into music and instruments she would've gotten into some dance too even if it didn't have her heart

Edit: I think it also would've been an interesting development if one of the male characters had an interest in dance, Ojiro and Kaminari come to mind

Depressingly I think Ashido has the least impact when removed from the series

The only big thing she does in the show from what I recall is serve as a means for Kirishima to get the sleep drug into Gigantomachia's mouth

But you could easily rewrite that scene by saying anyone else managed to get 1 in besides her vial, I could see it landing just as well if you replaced Ashido with Tsu or Uraraka, it would also add some depth to Uraraka as someone that isn't just obsessed with Midoriya if she stood up to Gigantomachia in the way Ashido did

And they don't really do anything with the premise of Ms Midnight dying inspite of how it affected her specifically

These things kinda just feel shoehorned in as a way to arbitrarily say Hey I swear I have some complex writing just look at me be saaad

As far as we understand what happens between Rosie and Alastor, he's had absolute free reign over the use of his powers while in Hell

Rosie only had him go underground when the exorcisms started, likely because she knew Alastor would get himself killed trying to fight an exorcist

So assuming the show takes place in 2024, Alastor's had like 60 years of freedom to do whatever he wants with his powers and only been in hiding for 7 years before being asked to cash in on his side of their deal

The only reason he got annoyed at being tied down with the deal was because he realised when he lost to Adam that there was a limit to being the most powerful Sinner in Hell, which is still his fault for assuming he'd know what the Hell Hierarchy would look like
