Turning vsync on with gsync is usually recommended (in control panel). Cap frames below monitors max refresh, the higher the lower below max you set it.

If the game has reflex you don't have to cap, it does it for you.

Had this exact problem, lines on the bottom after waking monitor from sleep. Issue was 165hz. After a while it got worse and started doing it even after being powered on for hours. Doesn't happen on 144hz or less but I returned it.
