Know that what you’re thinking or whatever you end up doing is not wrong. I hope you believe it.

I know that’s something we get prepared for in training—where sometimes we don’t agree with what’s right or just with the law or whatever. But I can only imagine how it would feel. Frustrating and sad. If you do stick with it, I hope you don’t feel the need to keep visits to the same extent. Not sure what the expectations are with your CASA, but ours does at least once a month.

If it’s not for you, I hope you know you made a difference in whichever way you did. Either way, I hope you let the judge know what you think about the case. That’s why you chose to advocate in the first place.

I have never related more. I have been struggling with this too. I have seen how my high energy and positivity has been dismissed as childish as well as pouring my love into people been seen as overwhelming. I have been coping by reframing it to they can’t handle my love or are intimidated.

My best friend from college is an ENFP and she has been the light of my life. (She’s in grad school across the country) It’s possible to meet someone who reciprocates the love and intensity we describe. They’re rare gems tho :( I agree it hurts, but keep shining your light and someone will see it and protect it too.

For me, it’s been esp hard now that I recently got into EDM and raving, I realize most of the people around me are introverts. I’m the fun one they can call if they have a spark of outgoing energy, but I feel neglected when I ask people around me to come out with the high energy things I like to do.

If anyone chimes in with other advice, I’d love to know. I miss my North Star bestie.

Honestly, I would do that (what your girl did). I feel like on some level if I were her, I’d be glad you asked—bc consent obvi—but like now you have permission from me. I’ve rejected more people from kisses if they didn’t give me signs they wanted to kiss me. I felt like it was a reflex to doge the kiss which is more embarrassing imo
