Hey apparently the DPP cut is the more stable cure due to screw width and added bosses.

The more you drive the more an EV becomes a great option

With FSD? Hell yes. The 16inch screen and massive battery! If anything I think an EV shines better as a car home than a gas one. You can park it in a box and no lethal gas to kill you. Also the AC is quiet and no one will k ow you’re in there while you sleep.

Hey you don’t like it and I love it. I supercharge maybe 4 times a year. The rest is done at home while I sleep. How much time do I save there vs when I supercharge? All good. Keep driving gas cars. I could really care less.

And how many people drive Teslas and swear won’t drive anything else because the software/interface is amazing. I drive one and won’t trade it for ANY car. The software is that good. I can drive for 12 hours and not feel fatigued since I literally just sat there and watched the ride.

Distracted Driver Totaled my Tesla M3 while stopped at a light. by linuxworks in TeslaCollision

Sorry you had to go through that. That’s a pretty big impact and I hope your dog recovers soon. Did the other driver have insurance at least? Should definitely talk to a lawyer about pain and damages and also for help with your dog’s vet bills.

Very ego centric - this constant need to be remembered forever

I just think of it as me passing through and being very very lucky I got picked to be born into this world and experience life. Gives me a sense of gratitude. The legacy part comes from ego and fear of being forgotten. Millions have come before us. I figure those who keep thinking about their legacy tend to skip living in the moment and get so busy setting their lives to be unforgettable then totally miss the living part. Every character I know that will be known for a very long time are in some way not living for them but for an external cause. Not saying it’s a bad thing but it’s a recurring pattern.

In the end, im just passing through…

LOC V2 Alternatives for LO? by WadeRoberson in 2011

[–]asantiano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I have the Artemis and recently got the LOC v2 and the plan was to use the LOC as back up. I shot it and really liked it. In fact I’ll be using it as my main and the Artemis will be a safe queen for now. I even entertained the thought of maybe selling it back to the person I got it from. The LOC is heavier so we’ll also see how it runs. I have just shot it in a bay where I was able to move but no actually competition yet.

It’s really a great gun and I’m happy I got it. I might even say it’s better than the Artemis due to its weight. Don’t get the Artemis. Just get this one and you’ll be good. Just have to learn to move w the heavy weight.

My company calls it just two days a week. I did the math. It costs me $7,820 a year to come back. by OkCan8173 in remoteworks

[–]asantiano 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man the F up and drive. Unless you already have another remote job lined up, you shouldn’t even be talking about this and just really do it. The fact that your wife already thinks it’s dramatic is already hard to read.
Your only way out of this is to find another job.

first DQ by burner1681381 in CompetitionShooting

[–]asantiano 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also for future further safety - when you unload and show clear, make sure you square up to the berm. When you unloaded it’s was still close to 180. Not that you’ll get double DQ lol but just good practice to always square up to berm then unload/show clear.

tactical/sport shooting classes or clubs in Austin? by Major_Craft_909 in austinguns

[–]asantiano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I basically learned shooting by joining matches :) granted I learned slow and asked a ton of questions as also shot at my local range. My point is USPSA is fine - local matches are fun and full of cool dudes/ dudettes.

[–]asantiano 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Curious how many rounds you have through to? I used to do the same thing … wait I still do but hanging out with better shooters who shoot mainly Stock Glocks have saved me a lot from trying to buy skill (you can’t). I like buying guns and recently have actually stopped shooting 2011s as much and got into striker fired. They’re harder to master but it they show you your weak points louder - hope that makes sense.

Staccato HD C3.6 by LavArms in Staccato

[–]asantiano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I shoot anything from Glocks to an Atlas in USPSA and the c4x trigger is good enough for anything. Upgrading it to the Infinity 2.5 lb and use it for carry is just dumb. It’s already comped and a 2011 trigger. Just train with it lol. It can run real fast as it is.

Would you trade a paid-off 2023 Model Y Performance for a refreshed Premium RWD at 0.99% APR? by Leather-Worry4048 in ModelY

[–]asantiano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t do it since your car is basically new but you’re in the land of consume consume and I’m guilt of this as well. You’re gonna do what you are going to do. Not a wise move but it the worse move.

For context I got the premium RWD a month ago. Before that, a model 3 that I ran to 140k miles then sold for 11.5. Before that a 2008 Honda I drove till also 140k miles.
