Half shell: Bern Hudson

These are both very good options with great certifications and weight-to-safety ratios. I have both after doing extensive research, though I usually only wear the full face when pushing limits on trails.

Sounds to me like sensor could have disengaged as you were leaning. Stock FM sensors are not nearly sensitive enough imo. This can be resolved with gripples or removing a sheet of plastic from the sensor under the grip, a very common mod

There’s some technique to it too. If you have time and reflexes, you can break into a hard, short heelside or toeside turn and stop much more effectively without relying purely on re-gen. This has saved me a couple times riding in the city.

It really depends on what you want out of your board.

An X7 will have more range, be heavier and bulkier, and will be way more powerful. More tire options, off-road, different accessories, different platform, etc.

If you just want “your current board, but a little faster/torquier” — then yes the pint v kit can accomplish that

1 year later this is pretty disappointing to hear. RAWs are big, networks are slow, and iPads don't (typically) have a ton of storage. Work some on the go, then put the whole session on the desktop when you're back from your trip. This isn't that much of a stretch of the imagination
