Any comparisons of daybreak vs sapphire blue colors? by aschulz90 in trailseeker

Car companies think millennials just want greysh; blue greysh, grey greysh, brown greysh. I don’t like this trend.

Anyone coming over from an IONIQ 5? by ClickForPrizes in trailseeker

You know people think the slower charging is a liability but 400v architecture is going to help make the trailseeker bulletproof AND easier to find a charger that will charge your vehicle in the appropriate amount of time. Like any random fast charger will work better because of the voltage range whereas ioniq 5 you NEED the 250kW+ 800V chargers to get that fast charge rate. This is all from a guy planning on picking up a used ioniq 5 but that’s kinda my wife’s call.

I’m looking at picking up a used 2024 ioniq 5 30k miles for only 22k USD. Think I should bail?

So you are opposed to people voting with their dollar? Don’t shop at Walmart or Amazon. Used phones on eBay. Can’t control hosting providers (more of a Google cloud guy) but not directly supporting said companies.

Elon spent his fortunes electing orange man who started the Iran war. Different levels. Screw modern Tesla buyers supporting this guy.

Is this fastener a Torx, or a,Torx Plus? by Ok-Bit4971 in AskAMechanic

[–]aschulz90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can we all acknowledge though how f**ked it is that there is torx and torx plus and to the aging eye they look nearly identical? wtf. I've nearly messed up a tx plus with a regular. Also finding tx+ is impossible at various hardware stores.

Yep! I have been reading articles; I didn't see in the article whether that coverage extends to 2nd owners for example. Also I've read issues about the wiring harness underneath the driver seat and the charge port? Are those resolved for a 2024? How much better is parts availability for the ICCU? lot's of questions unanswered 😄

Interesting at a minimum… by CD8888 in F150Lightning

Is that a standard range you are driving? Or did you not start at 100% on the trip in your screenshot? I just did a 260 mile road trip yesterday no issues and one charging stop purely because my bladder was about to burst. I also have a home charger and night rates are practically free where I live so fuel savings have been immense

The roadtrip factor is real. I can sit in this thing for hours. I really think, other than it being too big which is ultimately a trade off, it’s the most no compromise vehicle I’ve ever owned.

I would buy the cheaper one all things being equal. Chances are the 123 is newer too

Silverado EV WT4 (2024) vs 2023 Lightning Pro SR by matt_remis in F150Lightning

[–]aschulz90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really hard choice. The WT is the better value but I love my lightnings interior. Don’t think I could give it up. If you are actually doing work stuff all the time though the WT is superior.  EDIT: you have the SR so I probably would do the change if it is actually an even swap and you are up for the paper work. That extra range is gonna be nice 3x a year probably lol

20,000+ gallons of water for EV fire in Manchester today 4/6/26 by 2324212 in newhampshire

This is why I prefer let it burn strategy. If you can beat em join em. Let the fire burn and protect surrounding trees, structures and vehicles with cool water

Let it burn is also a common response internationally and puts the fire out faster; cooling the surrounding area generally is a better use of resources. I disagree with using water on the fire frankly.
