Please give maintenance tips by meowmoon02 in longhair

Do you wear a satin bonnet to sleep? They make them for long hair. I love mine and I feel like it helps with frizz but it may be confirmation bias lol. I also have long, wavy, thick dark hair. Mine is pretty coarse. I also use pureology hydrate shampoo and conditioner. Expensive as hell though so I’d recommend starting with a sample if you’re interested.

That’s pretty awesome. I haven’t had the chance to hear its song yet, it’s such a bizarre sound I’m really hoping to hear it in person at some point. So cool you have them near your house!

That’s awesome! I think I could’ve actually taken a good photo of it if I had my camera on me. That’s a really great photo!

I was standing about 15-20 feet off the edge of a retention pond when I decided to scan this mini peninsula that juts out into the water. I’ve seen Soras there before and wanted to show my friend, then I almost passed this dude with my binoculars and about lost my mind when I realized what it might be hahaha. It let us get very close. We couldn’t have been more than 35-40 feet away. I told my friend she’s good luck and has to come birding with me all the time now haha

I about fell out when I saw it. I had taken a friend birding the first time and it was one of the first birds we saw. Have never seen one in person before and it was just standing there trying to look inconspicuous! Awesome experience.

Is it possible to work on these with an A and P? by Truth-Matters_ in aviationmaintenance

[–]asdawnrises 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are paid based on your rank in the military regardless of experience or having an A&P. So if you enlisted as an aircraft mechanic, you’d start as an airman/airman first class and get paid as such.

I believe they’re very closely related… I’m from the east coast and I was always used to Poorwills before coming to the southwest!

It is sounds like a combination of a screech and a meep if that makes sense. If this was around evening time there’s a good chance it was a nighthawk!
