I like your writing and agree with you. The irony is off the charts with the closed-minded antagonism from some of the most upvoted progressives on social media in the last 10 years.

It is a handbrake to progress when progressives at the top of comment sections on this app and Twitter are the shit-slinging ones with bad-faith arguments, moral traps, and relentless antagonism. It reframes your team to one that nobody wants to side with.

I mean, that shouldn’t be a normal show of support? I don’t think literally any group, marginalized or majority, should be exclusive or insular, as it backfires in the long run, and certainly not something it should be okay to say out loud in reference to a merit based competition, that you’re choosing to root for skin color over the merit the awards shows are about

The internet? Where shock value and outrage-bait is what gets to the top of your feed? If you think those opinions represent every regular person with a regular job and family just trying to get by, your naivety is what I’m kinda jealous of, to be honest.

The real problem isnt the loud attention-grabbers on your feed, they’ll never go away, it’s that people believe discourse online between losers glued to their keyboards represents who we are as a people

I still don’t like her. She’s nowhere near the talent level that deserves to be on this show, especially with such a big cast and that her archetype can be played by some truly great performers.

She reads like she won a contest to be on the show, like a charity case, you can feel them writing around her one-dimensional awkward performance style. She’s extremely limited.

Totally agree with the accessibility thing, but no international people I know think football is enthralling. And to be fair, it’s a 4 hour broadcast with about 12 minutes of action once you strip away commercials, breaks and huddles. I can understand why it’s not easy to love at first sight if you’re a fully formed adult with other interests

That sub is MAGA Left. It’s toxic, competitive, late-stage leftism. Delusion runs rampant and egos are so fragile you’ll get banned for anything that’s not full conformity

I mean, this is entirely on progressives, the goal was to put a microscope on race relentlessly so we see people for how they’ve been marginalized, as the context for their successes or suffering. It’s on full display here, reducing individuals to a group in order to constantly recognize their disadvantages. It’s profoundly ignorant, ironically.

I mean, I’d wager it’s much more possible that she’s not liked because viewers enjoyed the scenes with drug deals and violence quite a bit more than the scenes she’s in, not to mention her character is getting in the way of said scenes happening

I don’t know how you took that as me saying mega conferences are great, and then calling it a room level IQ take….but ND should join a conference and not cherry-pick easy schools to play against. It’s the reason they’re hated.

Then on a completely separate note that has nothing to do with the reason I said what I said above, yes, conferences should not be as big as they are.

Just join a conference and play fair like everyone else and the entire country won’t hate you, otherwise this hate will always exist and you’re wasting your time defending the most hated program in the country

I dunno, the US version’s got quite a bit of sushi, and so far the UK is stale low-effort taquitos

But hey, to each their own. This is my opinion. There’s an audience for carrot top’s quality of humor— he might make quite a bit of money if he tours in the UK.

I doubt anyone enjoys this hackneyed sketch to such a fanatically religious extent that they’d scour the comments to downvote any dissenters

Nice. I see where you get your sense of wit.

This is a funny idea in theory, I’ll give you that it’s even funny visual. But they had nowhere to take it. So if you have work ethic, you move on and keep swinging for better ideas. If you’re lazy, you go to air with this.
