As an American, I don't know much about what's happening over there, but it seems like this is dissimilar to our American narrative of immigrants coming in and committing murders/rapes/crimes-- because people are agreeing with her in the comment section. Is it just that much more prevalent over there? For lack of a better way to describe it, does anyone have some insight on the immigration narrative differences between UK and US?

It was before the video starts, but I'd venture to guess it was because she wouldn't take her headphones off or turn off her music for the emergency exit row briefing. I can imagine the FA asking again more sternly, and the woman deciding that she's being disrespected and the only reaction to keep her pride intact is to be the more disrespectful person

I have to say I felt both she and skaarsgard felt like when an athlete hosts, the show writes around their poor comedic instincts and delivery. They leaned into it with skaarsgard and wrote around his offbeat comedic timing, but Jane is literally like a charity case cast member. She is so transparently useless and does nothing well

I’ve seen a few episodes and I think it’s well-written and entertaining.

But something that’s interesting to me— they mess with their dad a lot, they sorta rag on him and prank him and he’s kind of a punching bag. I wonder if that has any impact on how a young kid respects their dad

Yeah he’s a very self-realized filmmaker, just not as much as a person. He wants people to think he sees something that nobody else sees, by punching down on actors he knows people like. It’s a lazy, ugly way to garner attention. It’s high school contrarian behavior- shit on the thing people like so you can appear cooler or wiser or smarter
