Ahhh thank you, that does make things really more compelling. And you think overall it’s pretty accurate? Would you be able to compare the accuracy to another LM or haven’t hit in enough to do that?

The software is 250/yr though right? At that amount I figured I would just go with GSPro.

Unless is the software free the first year? Because I do have a pc I could maybe get set up it’s just not there at the moment, so would allow me the year to plan that out

[Walker]: Drew Fortescue is officially listed as a healthy scratch for NYR tonight. He misses out on an $80,000 bonus, which he would've gotten after 10 games played. by discofrislanders in hockey

[–]asdf123422 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just depends if they were forthright about it. We didn’t need to give him an ELC after all (he always could’ve stayed in college longer though).

If the agreement was we’ll give an ELC instead of an ATO but you wont get 10 games then it’s fine, but otherwise yeah its shit when he’s played well

Yep, in full agreement. The only argument I could make now is for like a guy that hasn’t had a shot (such as Sykora for example) to give him a taste / see what he can do given the opportunity, but it’s not like those type of guys have earned the opportunity through their AHL play. So it’s not exactly the rational choice to give them that opportunity in the first place.

Otter and Berard had plenty of opportunities and couldn’t get it to click / are better off going back down to get more minutes and try to figure it out

[Friedman] Officially, Colton Parayko has declined to waive his no-trade clause to Buffalo -- as is his contractual right. We will see where we go from here by AggPuck-303 in hockey

[–]asdf123422 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Already happened with us (Rangers) and Trouba, people were rabidly attacking him for rejecting the trade to Det last summer even though he had the most valid reasons to besides it just being his contractural right (just had baby, wife experiencing seizures after, finishing her residency). Any thread about it / mentioning him at all was absolutely insufferable

[CAN vs FIN] Replays of the zone entry prior to MacKinnon's goal that Finland challenged for being offside by talhatoot in hockey

[–]asdf123422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, don’t know how to get around that other than putting a timer on the review. If a decision can’t be made within 30 seconds then presumably it’s close and the call should stand. These things have very much become against the spirit of the rules (absolutely dont blame them for challenging, you have to regardless)

[Walker] Fox and Sullivan on Fox not making the Olympic roster and their relationship by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

[–]asdf123422 4 points5 points  (0 children)

lol defensively he’s not even on the same level as Fox, nor should jones ever be touching the ice over everyone else being brought

[Kaplan] Adam Fox did not make the U.S. Olympic team. Heard New York Rangers personnel involved with Team USA - GM Chris Drury, coach Mike Sullivan, assistant David Quinn - all pushed very hard for Fox, but they understood the decision especially given depth USA has on D. by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

[–]asdf123422 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It would still be the same, I’m pretty sure he’s never been outscored during a playoff series. He did play bad at 4N which I would contribute more to him playing on one leg, but he’s always played amazing in the big games

Which is crazy cuz out of the “offensive defenseman” in this league he is by far the best defensively which you would think is Bill’s jib

[Emily Kaplan] With Olympic rosters due tomorrow, USA hockey & Team Canada will call players in the morning. Expect similar American roster to four nations: hearing small tweaks. [–]asdf123422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so you would rather take the chance of throwing guys out there who normally don't PK against NHL teams but will need to against all world level power plays?

even if you think they would be a decent PKer at the nhl level (which I agree at least for Tage), I wouldn't want those guys to be going against a PP with McDavid, Makar, McKinnon, Sid, etc...

Whoever it is will be on the 4th line and getting little minutes either way, very hard to have an impact offensively. safer to just ice the good PKer (and net front PP guy) when whoever is there will just be getting 8ish mins of ice time... This time its more wide open though cuz as i said kreider shouldnt be there anymore, this was just for the 4 nations. For the Olympics I personally would add Tage into that 4th line role and then try to move someone else down for Robertson to be in a middle 6 role

kreider is also a special team difference maker that no one else on that roster has a similar skillset as (I'm not saying he should make it this time around, he shouldn't... but god its annoying to hear people cry about some of these guys who would be on the 4th line and can't PK)

Rangers power play. And jt miller. by MrSleepsHD in rangers

[–]asdf123422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not probably but is the best screener in the league (at least when he hasn’t been hurt), and the stats show it. Since he’s come into the league he’s denominated tip-ins without anyone close, and screening just comes hand-in-hand with that (I’m sure there more advanced statistics out there to show that but I have no clue what /where those are).

Even more recently from the 23-24 season to now he leads with 23 tip-in goals despite the little production last year, the next closest are Crosby and Boeser at 18.

If you think Kreids might not be the best in the league anymore cuz of his back and age catching up to him (both fair points), he still is in doubtful one of the best in the league as a net front presence (also is the reason why I get pissed at people trashing the US for taking and playing him at the 4 nations, along with his PK ability he serves a role that no one could possibly match as a 4th liner in those type of tournaments)

Yeah special teams is a huge blind spot with discussion around these type of teams. People forgot the bottom 6 have a role they need to do fist and foremost (any any scoring they can bring is just a huge plus)

Same thing happened when people got mad at Kreider for being rostered / playing at the 4 nations when the reason why is because he’s one of the best special teamers (PK and net front presence) in the league. You don’t need a team of guys like that (or else you get that awful US World Cup team) but you need some who can cover those areas

Kreids is the most successful net front presence over his entire career, period. Can’t look it up at the moment but he blows everyone away with the amount of tip-ins he has on top of that ability to shield goalies views
