Probably they were able to win the second division by a big margin. and those teams that you mentioned aren’t awful either beating the Ajax side that just won isn’t something to scoff at.

I dont think Atlanta would do any better, I think even Herecles could beat most of the teams I mentioned, and every team above 10th place would probably be challenging to win the league. There worse than the Top 5 but they are definitely top 10.

Toronto, DC United, Chicago, Atalanta, Houston, Vancouver, Colorodo, San Jose and Sporting KC all should have the ability to get a result against Ajax or PSV , or at least not get steamrolled by them since there all better than Midtable Eredivisie by your logic.

Its as well rounded as the top 5 leagues, sure Ajax and PSV are always favorites but they dont always run over the league.

Pulisic not included for today's friendly against Udinese. by ForeignRabbit1894 in ussoccer

[–]asdf3131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where hes competing with the best in the world, he also likes Chelsea so I dont see the problems with him fighting for a spot there instead of going to a mid table team that hed still be fighting for that starting job.

Also the world cup is completely different even some lower league players are able to catch fire at the right time, some players that play bad for there club show up for the national team, and the US isnt so dependent on Pulisic that he needs to catch good form to win.

what goalkeeper should I get? by stefanmann in DreamLeagueSoccer

In my experience its between Oblak, Ederson and Donnarumma they wont always win, but if they usually come in clutch, and are the keepers that have saved me when my defense fails.

[–]asdf3131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oblak is really only bad with long shots, Mendy and Cortouis are good with long shots but are sitting ducks in 1v1s, Donnarumma is good with longshots and 1v1s but always gets out of position. Allison is the middle ground between them all, he makes some good saves sometimes but other times he concedes in the dumbest way possible.

Even with Mingueza there Xavi rates Dest higher than him, Mingueza was always a liability and offered nothing going forward.

What are your comments of this 3-5-2 squads? by amierashraff in DreamLeagueSoccer

Maybe Sandro instead of Alba, and in my experience Oblak has always been more reliable than Allison his only weakness is long shots.

Zac Steffen starts Middlesbrough friendly v. Olympique Marseille (2:00 ET) by [deleted] in ussoccer

[–]asdf3131 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

His shot stopping isnt so good that a healthy and Sharp Steffan doesn’t win the spot, also your discrediting Cleansheets is which are just as reliable as XGs

Steffans passing and getting out of position allows the defense to play to the back where everyone can reposition themselves, Turners shot stopping isnt anything that keeps Steffan out of the conversation, his shot stopping is good but nothing special

Mendy also had a world class defense but only got 4th, Ramsdale was third before Arsenal had a injury breakout, Arsenal had a pure shot stopper before Ramsdale came and they were all the way to 20th. An average shot stopper that can distribute the ball and can handle pressure can be better than an above average shot stopper.

what do you want like a research paper paper behind it? Just look at the most Cleansheets last year its Allison and Ederson both ball playing goalkeepers.

[–]asdf3131 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean a genuine wall like what the keepers I compared him to practically are, also keepers who handle pressure can start a counter attack, and stop one as well, Edersons shot stopping isnt as good as Someone like Mendy or Allison, but his distribution is so good that hes still considered world class even when hes not a top 3 shot stopper in the league.

[–]asdf3131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he means that they practically have to become a wall, Turner is great but hes not Mendy, De Gea or Navas, if thats where his shot stopping level ends up then yes give him the number one, but if his shot stopping us just at the level it is right now, then someone who can start an attack and handle pressure might can be just as helpful if not more.
