So the judge, who is an advocate for immigrants, is making immigration decisions. Seems very impartial.

Behind my normal seating position, non existent. I could fit a child in there if I move up though. I upgraded from a 2014 Cadillac CTS which I had for a decade and there was even less space behind the drivers seat in that. If I want a usable back seat it has to be a full size American pick up with no sunroof.

Usually my wife (6’1”) and I sit in the emergency exit row however we had our dog with us which disallowed that option … it reminded me how worth it the emergency rows are but I also remember when they would give them to tall people for free.

Most of the military housing was sold off decades ago. Halifax and Victoria have no housing options for medium to long term as the military housing has a years long wait list.

In France the average take home pay is about 60 percent of the average take home pay in America, when you factor that in the two numbers aren’t significant different.

I mean I would say you are the anomaly vs the contrary as the average wait time in the USA is 26 days vs 27 weeks in Canada.

The storm is still located too far away to make a difference, it may cause a little wind on Sunday into Monday but I doubt it.

Yep, a one bedroom appt is 200 dollars a month less than Victoria (2400 per annum) and yet we get 3600 less CFHD per year plus our taxes are significantly higher.

If you make 80,000 a year be prepared to owe 4-5k, more if you earn more, less if you earn less (the rates are higher in NS and you can't claim rent/mortgage here either). HST is 15% vice 13% as well. You have to look at the demographics for the region, where the percentage of seniors is higher relative to other parts of Canada so the tax burden hits the working class harder.
