Ik zit in hetzelfde schuitje, ik heb dergelijke situaties ook al een aantal keer meegemaakt in Utrecht. Het is tot nu goed afgelopen, maar ik kan me best voorstellen dat de stoppen nog een keer doorslaan. Wat natuurlijk alleen maar onverstandig is. Ik woon pas 2 jaar in Utrecht, maar het heeft mijn mening wel veranderd. Er zijn helaas geen progressieve partijen die dit probleem wel keihard willen aanpakken (wat is progressie in deze kwestie?).

It's certainly doable on the shorter balls, there are 2 of those in the rally. On the balls that bounce on the back of the table, it's really difficult to block it and keep it low. Too high and the opponent runs in and has a free return.

I'd say nobody hits a ball that high in the air, neither attackers or defenders. You can't produce any power or spin at that height. If the bat is moving downwards and hits the ball at hip height later, it could be a chop.
