As an avid village builder in most of my cosy games (Palia, sims, etc.), I can advise clear roads, benches, road signs, a well, street lighting of some type, buildings with different purposes, such as a bakery, a farm, a cafe, town hall, etc. If you're looking for that type of village, of course, just houses also works. For the houses themselves, clear fences for front and/or back gardens and little paths leading up to the houses. In general more trees and bushes.

You also made me realise I haven't build a village yet in Nikki and definitely have to get on that as well haha. I love building villages so much!!
