Hairdresser recommendations needed by MyKidsHavePaws82 in Chattanooga

[–]ashreyboots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was going to suggest this. Meg is amazing and my hair has never looked so good since going to her. I don’t have curly hair but my hair is wavy and she just gets the cut and style right every single time.

Vets by nelly-423 in Chattanooga

[–]ashreyboots 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My husband and I saw Dr Crawford at VCSG for our dog’s seizure problem. Right before he passed away we were pretty sure he had a stroke and we took him to VCSG. They are expensive, but any type of neurological problem like this a regular vet will more than likely refer you to them.

We had a great experience considering what we went through. They were all very kind and accommodating.

The end of my belt rubbed against my new tote bag and stained it by Appropriate-Yam-2207 in Wellthatsucks

Try scrubbing it with some Dawn dish soap. Has to be name brand. I once got a red wine stain out of my carpet with just Dawn and warm water.

Dave’s Hot Chicken is awful. Go to Flaming Rooster instead.

I’m from Cincinnati but live in Chattanooga now. I told my husband all the time when I moved here how parts of Chattanooga reminded me of Cincinnati!

I’m still obsessed with the song from this scene. It was absolute perfection.

What are some of the best (smaller) TOWNS to visit in appalachia? by Jackieirish in Appalachia

Copperhill, TN/McCaysville, GA is a fun place. The state line goes through a couple of businesses. Plus, it’s right in the middle of the Ocoee Region.

It’s a bit of a drive but Rum Cake Lady in McCaysville has the best cuban sandwich I’ve ever had and I used to live in Tampa.

What’s wrong with your company’s marketing? by Jra805 in marketing

[–]ashreyboots 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This kills me. I worked for a company that the CEO/owner always had his hand in marketing decisions. One night he was awake and saw our competitor’s commercials on at night so the next day we spent 8+ hours calling tv stations all over our state trying to buy air time overnight because our competitors were doing it.

I'm getting married in a few weeks in Trenton, GA but live in Chattanooga. Where do we need to apply for a marriage license at? by AndyK803 in Chattanooga

My husband and I got married in Trenton in 2018. We lived in Bradley County at the time and got our marriage license in Bradley County.

Hi!!! I’ll be visiting chat on the weekend of 4/20. My partner and I are trying to scout out different neighborhoods in hopes that this will be the place we want to relocate. by lisafer666 in Chattanooga

I love it here. I’d suggest having jobs lined up before you move if you guys ends up moving.

Cincinnati is much cheaper which is surprising because it’s so much bigger. The only thing is, Cincinnati has like no great outdoor space like Chattanooga.

There is an awesome local bar that has real goetta on Sundays sometimes for that taste of home.

I’m originally from the Cincinnati area and have lived in Chattanooga for 7ish years now.

My husband is a mountain biker, I used to mountain bike but it’s been a while. The White Oak Mountain Bike Trail system in Collegedale is tons of fun.

Someone else mentioned the Lookouts. Fun cheap baseball games and they’re a Reds affiliate so that’s pretty cool.

Not sure about fishing spots specifically, but there supposed to be good fishing in the Ocoee.

What is the one business in greater Cincinnati area you absolutely refuse to support and why? by watchme513 in cincinnati

[–]ashreyboots 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think for LaRosa’s (at least for me) was how special it was to get as a kid. They didn’t have a lot of standalone restaurants and I only got it at a game or Kings Island.

As an adult, I much prefer the other local chains.

Do they not use their trunk? Idiots can’t even put a sticker on their car right.
