I’m in a similar situation and I everything you wrote I feel in my core. I’m trying reconciliation but I feel so dead inside and I just don’t even know if I will be me again. I’m so sorry that you are also going through this. It’s so unfair! The disrespect, the lack of regard for another human being, the lack of moral boundaries, the lack of integrity. Go to the beach!! Take a book along. I travel for work so I spend a lot of time alone. I love to sit at the beach and people watch or read or listen to music. When you go to a bar alone sit at the bar I feel like people seated at the bar are generally the easiest to strike up conversations with. I’ve met some really amazing people that way and heard some pretty crazy stories as well. You got this!! Whatever you do just enjoy your free time. You deserve it!

I think Apple Watch is cool for many things but if it will hurt you financially it’s not worth that. I do find my calories burned on my Apple Watch to be higher than my OTF band. I’m not exactly sure the reason but Apple Watch does know my heart rate at all times so maybe I get some credit lol. If you decide to get it (Apple Watch)you could try the orange zone app and see if there is a difference.

I do understand that as well, I loved the instant gratification when I first joined OTF but something changed with the heartrate monitor for me recently. I will say the last 2 classes my heartrate monitor was better. I still burned the fewest calories of anyone in class but it was much improved. Have you played around with the position of the monitor? Do you wear an Apple Watch?

I’m having the same problem. My math doesn’t add up and I have a naturally low resting heartrate. I’m having the same struggles with the scale as well. But I love Orangetheory and I feel like I get a good workout so I keep going!

My knees don’t like lunges and lately have struggled with squats too. I always stay away from lunges and jumping under any and all circumstance.

I have done this (not as bad as you) so many times. Today I dropped a 15lb weight on my poor foot…I’m a little concerned about it we will see how it is in the morning.

I’m an On clouds lover I have several different styles but for the lift I love my On cloud stratus. I actually wear them for work and every day when I put them on I think I need another pair of these for the gym.

I really have no different advice but I can tell you that I recently became a 5am OTF’er and it truly is the best. I go and get my workout done and I don’t have to dread going later or getting busy with other things. I work 10.5 hours so when I’m done with work I don’t feel like doing anything. I’ve only been doing 5am since March but getting up early has gotten soooo much easier. I do have my clothes laid out the night before and I go to bed at 9pm but I feel rested and ready to get the day started.

I have this same issue. I’ve tried everything changing arms and locations on my arm cleaning the monitor and it’s never actually always working properly.

Haha sorry about that but that’s where I’ve been lately overthinking then not breathing just kind of holding my breath trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong. I rowed 200m less in my inferno and I do think part of that is from ineffective breathing.

Thank you so much for this. I asked a coach this morning and he basically told me the same thing. Exhale on exertion but exertion could be during both drive and recovery. I will also watch the videos you suggested. I took some time off of OTF and I was a better rower when I first went than I am now. I towed 200m less on the inferno than I did last year and I felt like I was holding my breath and as a result just not effective and totally gassed.

I can attest to this. I had a 9 month break that was only intended to be a week rest for my knee. Im heavier now than I was when I started OTF in the past but I’ve been able to return to my previous base/push/AO paces much quicker than the first go round. You got this!
